hubby's ponytail

since i joined lhcf in 2004.. hubby has taken an interest in his hair, and went from no hair , to this ponytail in 4 years. he stopped using shampoo and now just conditioner washes his hair everyday, puts costco leave-in plus olive oil and ic gel and then braids it!

his hair got to bra-strap before mine btw!! i was so jealous!!

Sometimes I can't stand men...

My SO is starting locs, and he wants them to be as long as my hair is now! I was like, "Why you tryna show me up?" He said my hair would be longer by then so he wouldn't really be showing me up. Uh-huh...

when i married him 16 years ago, he use to tell me that he always wanted a ponytail, but since he was an attorney, that just wouldn't impress the judges in court nor his clients. so he maintained a nice fade until our first child was born, he stopped cutting his hair the day she was born. he says he wants to see how long it will get, but who nows..

He never uses shampoo. i relax his hair 3x a year. i will only use shampoo to neutralize the relaxer and that is it. He never clarifies. Go figure!! he swims too.. never uses shampoo.. he says it causes his hair to shed!

All he uses is the products i listed. i swear. you look under his cabinet and it is bare. My cabinet is bursting at the seams with all of my products

I honestly think he has retained so much hair because he doesn't use any heat!!

mine wanted to try locs, but he settled on a pony instead!! he had no idea how to care for locs, and neither did i!

Very true. The simple, low-mani routine works best for me. But... it's also boring! I wanna wear my hair out sometimes, or straight, or whatever! It's the price I pay for my vanity, I guess.
