hubby's ponytail

Sometimes I can't stand men...

My SO is starting locs, and he wants them to be as long as my hair is now! I was like, "Why you tryna show me up?" :lachen: He said my hair would be longer by then so he wouldn't really be showing me up. Uh-huh...

My SO's locs are drastically longer than my hair has EVER been. I used to tell him once they were longer than my hair...it was scissor time, but I decided to be nice and let him keep his hair for now...:lachen: There is an agreement that if we marry his hair will be cut shorter than mine. When I had a long weave (never again) he said it was too much hair b/w the two of us...lol.

Isnt it something how men can do so well when they do something and get better results than us. My mom is doing alot to lose weight and my dad half way tries and is losing more weight than her. And don't get me started on men who have super long eyelashes and I cant even get mine to grow, its just not fair:wallbash:

Why is your husband growing his hair long funny to me? Men keep it simple. Ok no heat for me. Does your husband deep condition at all?

No competition..the man has ANDROGEN....he will grow hair faster.:ohwell:

most men his age have decreasing levels of androgen and start to lose their hair though, so i don't know whats up with his head. His dad is bald and younger brother is almost nearly bald. hubby swears by his daily protein shakes and his multivitamin and he exercises regularly. :strong:

no deep conditioning like we do. he keeps his hair loaded with the same conditioner he uses to wash his hair with, so i guess that would be consider deep conditioning? he air-dries his hair 100% of the time and he thinks i am crazy for sitting under the dryer for hours .:perplexed

since i joined lhcf in 2004.. hubby has taken an interest in his hair, and went from no hair , to this ponytail in 4 years. he stopped using shampoo and now just conditioner washes his hair everyday, puts costco leave-in plus olive oil and ic gel and then braids it!

his hair got to bra-strap before mine btw!! i was so jealous!!

I'm not going to show this to my husband because he might just get out of the military to grow his hair and vex me. His entire family has a texture I just love....and his hair grows probably 1.5 inches a month. No joke. When we go on leave thin month, I am going to have him take a before and after shot and post it here.

I hate him....not really...but sort of....I'm jelly....pray for me. :perplexed:grin:

Girl, your hubby has some hair he needs to pass my way!!

A testament to consistency and a simple regimen and that hair doesn't need all this rigamarole that we do. I read a piece of research that said men's hair does not grow faster than women's. I'm sure if we all relaxed our hair 3x a year and did nothing else but cowash, add 1 leave-in, and braid it allllll the time, ours would be like that too. We can have it too, we just don't do what it takes to have it when "what it takes" is practically nothing at all!

i to agree, i think women get bored easily and need to be just doing stuff... i know i do.. i am not consistent like my hubby. i keep wanting to try something new.

First of all, your little girl is adorable; I want her for myself.

Second of all, you're sweet, because I'd have told him to cut that hair off. Not that it doesn't look nice, but how can he worship my hair when his is longer and flowing in the wind?

congrats to your husband! Your baby girl is TOO cute!
But tell your husband to ignore the crazy woman who keeps rolling her jealous eyes at him - that would be me! lol
