How to add measurement lines to ...

How do you add measurement lines to your pictures? For example, I would like to add a measurement line to my signature photo so that I can see where APL will be.

If you are using Windows, go to Start->Programs->Accessories, and there should be a MS Paint program in there.
Open it, open your picture in it, and draw a line across it. Save as your picture so that you can give it a new file name, and you're done.
