How much growth do you get in a month?

Voted less than 1/4" a month, I never physically measured my new growth but my hair grows really slow so.. Right now I'm about 10wks post relaxer and I maybe have about 1/2" worth of newgrowth... Trying to stretch to 14-15wks post to atleast have 1"-1 1/4"...

I naturally get about 3/4 inches a month , if i eat right and do what i should be i can get up to 1 inch and if i eat like crap it goes down to 1/2 inch.

right now i feel bac because i think i have been out of order with my hair and now its probably all chewed up at the bottom, i have to get it professionally straightened to find out tho....

I'm not sure what my growth rate is. I just measured my hair for the first time last night so I will be tracking in the future. I do know that my hair growth is divided in 3 sections. The top grows at a nice rate, my crown has the slowest rate and the back/nape area of my hair grows the fastest.

Since the addition of biotin,msm,& viviscal into my diet, & frequent co-washes because I teach aerobics daily, I consistently get at least an inch a month.

to see how much growth i get per month
i never truly paid attention...i just guessed

so, this month
i'm going to leave my hair alone
nothing extra...no unnecessary messing with it
and at the end of the month, i'll measure and see what the natural growth is.

Not quite sure...Last year I had a total of at least 4" trimmed and retained about 2" to 3" between May '06 to June '07...So maybe .35" per month?

I usually get about 1/2inch - 1inch. My hair does seem to go through ebs and flows of hair growth. One moment it s growing like wildfire :burning:, the next like weeds . I think it depends on the season. During the summer when I sweat alot, my hair grows alot. I haven't measured since about three months ago. But Iwill get on that tonight. Y'all have me curious. So I will do a 1 month comparison.

I voted a 1/4 inch. Each section grows at a different rate. The back grows the fastest, I get about 1/2-1 inch monthly. The sides I say between 1/4-1/2 and the front, if I'm lucky, about 1/4 inch every 2 months.

It's been about two months since my relaxer and I barely have a smidgeon on newgrowth I wish it grew faster on its own, but for good growth, I have to depend on Lenzi's Request. With that, I average about a half in or more a month.

I picked 1/2 because you didn't have 3/4 listed . This has been my average since March. I have averaged about 3/4 of an inch= 8 inches since March.

yea ditto, sometimes 3/4 but for me other times i get 1/2. there have been months where i have had an inch of NG, but only when i get the itchies/sore scalp and the weather is good and im eating right

I've never measured my hair but I believe I get the standard growth rate. 1/2 inch a month.

i jus relaxed my hair(pix in fotki).... first stretch was 20 weeks. this one was 13 weeks. I think the difference was because I was really taking care of my hair so my new growth was WICKED!! I hope I dont go any sooner on my next relaxer.

But I'm worried about retention not growth. I can GROW hair--I just have issues keeping it sometimes.

UPDATE: I just measured my hair and it seems as if it is longer than previously posted. I'm 5 1/2 to 6 weeks post relaxer and I have 1 3/4 of new growth. So that puts me at what...1 inch a month maybe?
If I retain it, that is....
