How much growth do you get in a month?

Since June 1 inch per month, I use my sulfur mix, vits, wash 2-3 times per week. simple but true

I sort of measured last night while massaging my scalp, and I have about 1/4-1/2" in different places on my head. I started taking GNC Hair,Skin,Nails about a month ago, but this feels like the amount of NG I would get before that.

1/2 inch monthly but 1 inch is in the winter months because I wash less often. My hair grows much faster when I shampoo less.

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat. I'm currently 6 weeks post and my edges are about as smooth as they were the day I got a relaxer. At the rate I'm going, it'll take two years for me to reach bsl.

Normally 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch.
It doesn't matter though, my hair has grown long anyway. It's what you retain not how fast it grows, that matters.

That s so true FlowerHair!!! i already chopped 2" off of dead thin ends. my mistake was to not do any kind of protective styles during the summer; it was my first time just enjoying my hair and twistouts. So i know now if i want to retain all i grow specially all year long, i need to stay in protective styles and keep my ends covered. I m really hibernating this time around and i really grease my ends before getting them in cornrows. I m back to baggie method, hiding the hair for a year, i seen it enough for the summer. I m not gonna see it for a year! i need to reach my goal lol i ll enjoy it next summer!

I think my hair grows fairly average and sometimes it even seems pretty slow to me. I get around 1/2 per month, thank God Im very good at retaining it!

Doing nothing, I get 1/2 inch, but now that I'm doing the baggie method, and taking silica gel, AND next week my order of viviscal will be delivered, I may get 1"+ considering that my growth rate will increase, AND I'll be retaining a lot of length since I'm doing the baggie method.

Not sure, let me count it up....From Apr to Nov my stylist cut off 6 inches and I had the same length I had in Apr....sooooo....I'll say 1 inch a month. Wow, even I'm surprised. I'm going to start eating better and exercising ... I'll try and measure it from now on.

Uhhhh, now that I think about it...how do you measure it ? My hair is moreso texlaxed so I don't know what's what ...maybe I'll slick it down when wet, put a hair pin at the mark where it looks "perm slick strait" and measure the new growth once it's dry...Any more suggestions ?

I voted 1/2 inch. but I do believe some months I am only 1/4 inch. So basically I am anywhere in between those two points. The more I take care of my hair, scalp and eat right with my one a day vitamin... the more growth I get.

It averages out to 1/2 for me. When it's hot my hair grows 3/4 a month, but when it's cold my hair crawls when it comes to growth. My hair grew the fastest when I only had 2 months of winter down south. Now I'm happy if I get 1/2 a month.

well... im 18 months post relaxer, and i have about 10 or 11 inches right now , soo that means about right at 1/2 per or so.. maybe a tad more per month.

by july 07(my two years) i expect ill have a lil bit more than 13 inches of natural hair.

About 1/2 inch per month. My last relaxer was Aug. 28/06 and now I have 3 inches of new growth. Two days ago I measured my NG and it was 3 inches, I was surprised because I though my hair was not growing.

I'm exactly 1 month or 4 weeks post relaxer. I just measured my hair and I see 1" of NG. I can't believe this. I measured about 5 times to be sure. I've NEVER, EVER seen NG in such a short period of time. In fact, I can generally stretch for about 16 weeks or thereabouts because my hair didn't grow too fast. Now with proper care, a better diet, water, exercise, protein, vitties, etc. I am seeing faster growth. I am now forced to wear braids in order to complete my stretches, which I don't mind at all...

I actually have very slow-growing hair. I wouldn't be surprised if under normal circumstances, I would only see about 1/4 or less than that per month. I can usually stretch relaxers for months at a time. I'm not sure if it's simply the BT by itself or a combination of factors: BT, Vitties, change in diet, exercise, etc. All I know is that my previous stretch was about 9.5 weeks and my NG was way out of control. I was forced to relax. Normally I can wait for 16 weeks and even much longer. This time, it's 4 weeks post like I stated and my NG is nice and thick. I measured it like 4 or 5 times to be sure. Of course, my hair grows fastest at the crown and slowest at the hairline, but I got 1 inch nearly in every area. In the slowest-growing regions, I right at about 3/4 of an inch. I'm not so sure that I'm seeing length as much as I'm getting thickness. Again, I'm not sure if I can attribute that to one thing or a combination of things.
