How many weeks post are you right now?

14 weeks today. I really do not have a set date to relax. Everything is going well...no breakage, not much shedding, no tangling. This new 2-week wash regimen is making stretching easier. I enjoy looking at new growth. Its so wavy and soft. And my hairline seems to enjoy the longer stretches. The baby is due in June. So if I can go another 10 wks, that will be exactly 6 months, and just in time for my little one, and to look cute in my labor pics...well as cute as one could look in those type of pics. Vain, huh? I know, I know.

Just wanted to add that I am so inspired by the ladies, i.e. Kiesha8185 and Misseyl, who stretch for one year or more.

Sylver inspired me to do my first 6-month stetch last year and I may do that this time around.

Share tips on how to do this "successfully". I want to heal my hairline and stretching has been the only thing to really help.

What are your reasons for stetching so long?

9 weeks post, however I am underprocessed from the previous touch-up so I don't know how many weeks I really am :nono:. I am doing my touch-up this weekend b/c I can't take this newgrowth any longer :wallbash:.

I'm 14 weeks and I'm relaxing this weekend. I was supposed to do it last weekend but I was lazy :look:. I can't wait to see how much growth I've gotten.

8 Weeks post today. I think I'm going to take this sew-in out tonight and see what it feels like doing. If it wants to be permed, then so be it. I'll see if I can stretch for 10 weeks.

I usually get a texturizer every 5 or 6 months. I'm currently 16 weeks post...I'm going 5 months this go around.

I'm 6weeks...usually I do 8 weeks. Now that i am deep conditioning minimum 2 times a week I will try to go past 8weeks. Maybe 10.

This is for Mrs. Houston. I have a question for you. I have just started growing my hair out. It is in a short curly afro that I put texturizer on. I have had it like this for 5-6 years. My hair is really thick and naturally long. I used to cut it every other week to keep it short. I use Soft and Beautiful Texturizer on it. How long did it take for you to grow your hair out? What type of products do you use on your hair. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

16 weeks post, and still transitioning... I got one of the best blowouts I've ever had, on Friday, and my hair is still straight. I do kinda miss feeling my NG though.

Last time, I caved and relaxed at 20 weeks. I’m back up to 20 weeks again on Saturday, but I’m hanging in there y’all. No shedding, no breaking, I’m wigging it, so why relax I say. “Go me!” “Go me!” [doing the cabbage patch]

I think I am at 33 weeks right now....and if I didnt cave in last December it would be my 1 year transition anniversary...lol... o well December 15th here I come

I am 14 weeks since my last relaxer. I am actually going towards the end of the year, and re-evaluate at that point. The goal is December 2009. So Let's see.

I'll be 6 weeks come this Wed. Prior to my last relaxer touch up, I went 11 weeks. It was very difficult for me to go that long... my hair broke off a lot because the new growth was so difficult to manage. I was cowashing and deep conditioning every time I shampooed but I don't think I was doing it as often as I am now. I know that whatever I'm doing right now it is really helping me. I don't see a combful or a sinkful of hair anymore. My hair has really benefited from all of the dcs, cws and moisturizers that I am now using. I think also the MN mixture and BT are also helping so I can stop all the diggin' that was rippin' my hair right outta my scalp! I don't know if I'll go that long this time. :nono:

I'll be 3 weeks coming 7/25/2008...I plan to relax after 16 weeks in October. I could stretch more but I chose to do it every 16 weeks because I need to enjoy my hair. I love it when it's just relaxed and stays flat on my scalp in a pony

i am 15 weeks post. getting a relaxer in a week or so. got a Dominican blowout last week so it helped to straighten my roots big time.

i have reached BSL... but i will be trimming my edges soon so i will be 1 inch away.

ppl never believe my hair is my own until they touch it (which i hate... why cant a black woman have long hair.. plus i dont kno where there hands been)

I am 4 weeks post and I am stretching until OCT 1, 2008. I cant wait cuz I really like that Hawaiian Silky mild.
