I am natural with very thick hair and it seems like it takes forever for it to air dry. The weather hasn't been very warm yet. (I live in Philly and it still feels like April.):wallbash:
So when i do twist-outs it seems to take and half days for it to completely dry.

Not long if I use a shirt to dry my hair. After I wash, I take whatever t-shirt I have and pull it most of the way off and let it soak up the moisture from my hair. With that, it may take me a couple of hours for my hair to dry.

After I wash my hair, I put it in twists. My hair is dry by the time I've finished the twists, and that takes about three hours.

Day and a half. The crown takes the longest, perimeter will dry during day. I go under a hooded dryer for 30-40 minutes after I twist or wng to take the major wetness out, then let it air dry from there.

Forever and a day.

I once went from California with a wet bun- it was still day, flew for many hours through the night, landed the next day and lo and behold when I opened up my hair that afternoon, it was still wet in the middle. Couldn't believe it- that's why I mostly blowdry.

I'm natural and it takes my hair about a day and a half when it has been styled up and no more than a few hours if its just out or twisted in little twists.

mines take less than 30 minutes (is my hair magic???)

i use a towel to dab out the excess water gently, and ever since i began using henna on my hair it seems to dry faster....idk how, but it does....

Depends on the air:hair contact ratio. But usually, hour and hours.

BTW, welcome to the forum. :)

Right now I"m sporting a quickly growing TWA, so it's A few hours to who knows when. I co-wash or rinse in the morning put on conditioner, rub it in, pick it out gently and head out the door. I usually put the heat on in my car to dry it off a bit more.

Forever sounds about right... I finished washing at about 1pm yesterday, and my roots are still damp, even though I actually left my hair loose... 29 hours and counting.

I do this, but with a towel. I just wrap the towel around my head and let it soak up the extra moisture--no rubbing, just wrap, let it stay on for 10 minutes, unwrap. Then I add my leave-ins and do about 8-10 braids. Usually the braids are dry by morning (8 hours later), but sometimes they are still damp inside.

I don't know if that was helpful or not.
