and of course i ended winning them! i was just casually browsing and next thing i know i'm bidding (damn competitive spirit). so anyways now that i'm stuck them but i wanna use them. my hair is at the bottom of my neck now. is that too short for the rollers? i wanted to wait until my hair was shoulder length. so ladies give me your tips and how to get shiny, bouncy curls please (well as bouncy as short hair gets). Help!!

Carusos come with various size rollers. I think that small or medium sized rollers should work for you. I think that there is a member with hair the same length as you who uses them successfully. Maybe do a search for carusos b/c she's posted quite a bit about them. My other tip is not to allow them to become too saturated with water and to use end papers to protect your ends. Have fun w/them and be patient b/c it may take a couple times to get it right. :)

Caribeandiva--I just bought some the other day and my hair is mid-neck length. the first time I used them my ends were a frizzy mess. I gave it another shot and the curls came out beautiful! A lot of fullness in my hair that lasts. Here are the changes I made from the first to second attempt:

  • Definitely use the end wraps. They take some time to get used to using them, but definitely worth it. My ends were nice and smooth.
  • I put a tiny bit of botanical oil on my ends before using the end wraps. This made them silkier and shinier.
  • Don't steam the covers. For me they made the curls too wet and took forever to dry. The curls came out fine without doing this.
  • I left the rollers in for about 15-20 minutes and that was long enough.
I will definitely be using these regularly. It's definitely awkward using them at first but I felt like I got better the more practice I got.

I have been curious about these but I dont use heat much at all and I air dry. With that being said, I never purchased them. You will have to come back and show after pictures. (or add to your fotki. You know I will peek in.)
