Help!! Hair turned black!

I decided to put a brown/gold demi-permanant color in my hair to cover grays. My natural hair is dark brown.....after the color my hair is JET BLACK!! What the heck happened? How long will it take for this to fade? Will it fade?

LMAOOOO! This is only funny cuz it JUST happened to me, except the opposite. I rinsed my hair jet black...but less than a week later, it turned auburn. like...bright auburn. Think Chili from TLC. No idea how it happened...SMH. My bf is calling me his ''little redhead''. -__-

It will wear off a little, but it will have to grow out for the most part.
