Bigen emergency please help

Hi ladies,

My mom in law has been using the same dark brown bigen color for years. Unfortunately the last time she used the color it left her roots a reddish brown and now two toned instead of black. It seems like the color didn't take at all. Has anyone else experienced this? Her hair is natural btw. What are some good brands you can recommend that will cover sturdy grays on natural hair,that are comparable to bigen.

tell her to get something with a blue base. It'll cancel the red and make the roots black. Gray hair has to have all of the primary colors to appear black because it is completely void of any color. She may have to mix a red base and black base to get an even black.
