just wanted to come in and say I hate you

omg, if your hair looks that good damaged, then mine must be :nono:

You have Beautiful hair.

I'm sorry this happened to you! Just be patient with your hair and continue to take care of it! We've all had setbacks, so try not to fret.

Your hair is still beautiful.

Ivey, your hair is beautiful! Please don't cut it.
I say give it some time. I'm sure that having longer hair will contribute to your hair hanging like that. Keep DC'ing and stay away from heat for a few months and see how your hair feels.

Good luck!

Don't cut your hair. It does not look bad to me, just give your hair some time. When your new growth comes in good it will cause the rest of your hair to curl better. Also try a protein treatment with eggs mixed with a moisturizing conditioner. It works wonders for curls and also with the thickness of your hair.

First off...your hair is beautiful!
I don't think you should cut it. Give it some time and attention.
Deep condition under the hood and over night a few times.
And then baggy a few nights. lay off the protein.
See if some intense moisture plumps those curls back up. It has worked for me in the past and I've seen it work for others too.

Hey OP,

This happened to me, my texture has changed from curly cute bouncy curls to wavy s-curls and I love them. Don't get me wrong I wonder what happened to my curls but I am thanking God that I still have my curlyish wavyish hair. Chill with the scissors and just enjoy and play with what you do have. I am sure there are some curling cremes or products that will have your curls bouncing back in no time.

Umm lemme get off here and act like I gotta job to go to, lol!

How many times did you straighten over the month? Do you think the change is from that one time at 400s?

I have nothing to add except that if that's a setback, it's a beautiful one. It really does not look bad at all. Also.....co-signing on protein and/or Amla oil to get your curls back.

Thanks or posting. I hope you don't cut...
