Who's watching??
Basically its about the lives of a marriage and family therapists and the single folks/couples who come waltzing into her office, on a regular basis. One middle aged couple who after X years of marriage and kids, have lost the spark that once existed between the two of them. A thirty-something, DINK (double income, no kids), recently married couple where the woman is pushing full speed ahead and the man isn't sure he wants to go along for the ride. A twenty-something chica who jumps from relationship to relationship wondering why the end up the same. And the therapist and her husband who have supposedly gotten past all the problems she sees on a daily basis, but isn't sure HOW or even what to call the problems.
Kinda interesting. Kinda depressing.
...definitely not Sex And the City (HA!).
But at the same time, a show that finally deals with the other side of relationships. Intimacy. We all crave it but go about seeking it in different ways. Some ways work, others don't. When it's there (with the therapist) its great. When it's not - the quest to find it can sometimes drive two people apart (the DINKs). And SEX, contrary to popular belief, does not equal intimacy (the young chica).
So I'm asking - if sex isn't intimacy - how would YOU describe it?
