I have been having this issue for a while now, for almost a year and I was hoping I am not alone and you guys have tips.
The last weave I had was removed last August and before that everything was fine, I even had a weave and had no issues with this. It was also when I finally hit BSL
I separate my hair in sections for wash and condition then while wet, I almost saturate my scalp in olive or coconut oil, then on my actual hair, I use olive oil and my shea butter mix and seal with castor oil.
Now, every 3-4 days, sometimes even 2-3 days after washing my scalp is itchy and dry. I checked, I don't have any illnesses/psoriasis, so I don't know what's up? I even switched up with clarifying shampoos and it's still the same. I use sulfate free products.
Are the oils not moisturizing enough? Has anyone else experienced this? I think this became an issue due to the increased length or perhaps thickness, because I haven't changed my regimen.
What should I try? My schedule really doesn't allow for as much washing as I do, and I want a much simpler regimen. I want to cut washing down to once a week. What else should I be putting on my scalp?
Thanks in advance
