My stylist used to "trim" my hair almost every time i went which was every 2 weeks, until my mother told her to stop cutting all my hair off. Dont kno what my mother said to her but she never cut my hair again after that. My mother would always ask "did she cut your hair", everytime i got it done. She definitely stopped though. I don't kno what stylists have against hair or why they feel the need to cut it all the time. I went to this other salon and they insist that your hair is trimmed or they wont style it. The lady cut like 1.5-2 inches off my hair and cut me bangs which i did not ask for. I keep trying to grow them out. No more SHS for me

Yup this happened to me too about three years ago. I went to a new stylist (should have known better because her hair was jacked up!) and after she gave me a relaxer my hair was shoulder length. I was so happy about the growth but of course she shut my happiness down saying I needed a trim. By the time I was finished my hair was in between neck length and the top of my shoulders! In fact it didn't even touch my shoulders....I was HOT:mad:! That's the last time I've been to the salon.

What is that about? I don't understand. I feel like I have more rights going into surgery than I do with a stylist.

Why do stylists always want to trim, trim, trim!!! I don't get it. I used to go to this lady and get rollersets, before rolling each section she would trim, or should I say "whack" about 3 inches of my hair off! All I know is that I'd be sitting there and all of a sudden I'd see hair falling. Who in the world trims like that anyway. It really isn't an accurate way to trim hair which is why my hair had gotten extremely uneven and took forever to get back to normal.
