OP, since you have 4.5 inches...why not just go hard, do some aerobics, and you will either make wl or not. If you don't make it officially, being an inch or less away is great too. You can get that extra inch in january

I flat-ironed using the chase-method with my FHI platform (1 3/4"). I put my hair in four ponytails after I applied a small amount of Lacio Lacio, Chi Silk Infusion, and Beyond the Zone heat protect spray (use a very small amount of this because it can weigh your hair down). I rolled the ends and sat under the dryer for about 20 minutes; afterwards, I tied my hair to let it airdry overnight. I flat-ironed at about 350-370.

I'm just astounded at how shrinkage can hide your true length. Judging from the curly pics, I would've assumed that you were APL! Anyway, I think you can make it to WL by the end of the year Good luck!

I think it's gonna be a close call. I'm estimating about 4.5-5 inches but I suck at guesstimating from pics. If you get a summer growth spurt then you should have more than enough!

Make sure you protect your ends so you won't need to trim.

I don't know if you'll reach WL by year's end but you'll be super close if you retain all you grow.
Hopefully a growth spurt will come your way (come everyone's way at that) I voted for 5 inches.
