Who is very happy with their hair and wouldnt change anything?

Well I am

It is growing nicely and has gone from almost shoulders to sitting on my back quite a bit.
However, I also really liked my hair when it was 2 inches long.
It sounds vain but I absolutely LOVE my hair. It caused me so my grief growing up and I never knew how to look after it. (I cant stand to look at old childhood photos.) So now I just love taking care of it...its empowering !!
I hate to hear black women complain about their hair and its nappy etc. I find it sad. Nappy isnt even really a word. I think the key is to accept your hair, see its beauty and then treat it like fine silk. Then it will really thrive.
My So laughs at me and my hair obssession but it is sooooo much deeper than a superficial thing.
Me and my hair have a past together and we've been through a lot. I cant begin to explain what my hair means to me.

AM I MAKING ANY SENSE WHATSOEVER?????

I am beginning to love my natural hair when I NEVER thought that was possible! But, I have a while to go b/c I will completely love my hair since I have some breakage and a lot of growing to get through.

I too love my hair very much. It's a part of me and therefore part of loving myself. I have learned that every part of our bodies respond to our thoughts and feelings so our hair follicles can't help but thrive when we send loving thoughts to our hair.

I love my hair as well, i've been obsessed with it since I was younger. I have always taken pride in keeping it healthy and looking good. I agree I don't like to hear people refer to their hair as nappy. Everyone has beautiful hair you just have to know how to care for it. Great post by the way

I appreciate my hair now. When I was growing up, I wished I had a different grade of hair. But now me and my hair have a love affair going, and I wouldn't want anybody else's hair

I love my hair, it took years but finally I have accepted it, learned to work with it and not against it.... I think it's beautiful.

I never loved to do my hair, I always liked to take the easy way out because my hair was always shoulder length and strong and I had no real knowledge of good hair care.

Now I have the knowledge of how to care for my hair, and I enjoy doing it and watching my hair thrive and grow, rather than just exist.

I absolutely

my hair. It's so amazing. I love it. It's huge and amazingly thick and lush, and it's M-I-N-E. It took me awhile to get here, but here I am and not a moment too soon. And w/the help of the LHCF it's getting prettier every day!!

I must admit ladies, after years wanting hair like this or that person, I'm starting to love my hair!!!

I think the best thing I could have ever done is learn how to care for my hair, it's likes and dislikes....it's an awesome thing to look in the mirror and think "wow, your hair really looks good and healthy!

I love my hair. Right now I have micros and I miss my Afro. I was planning to keep them in for a month but I'll be lucky if I make it to two weeks...

Im loving my hair (when i dont have to detangle). its so cool how my hair can form spiral curls, but at the same time I can comb it and sport a puffy do!!!!! The thickness is awesome too!

I love my hair.

It's finally as thick as I wanted it since I've been natural. It is soft, coily, wavy, curly.....and LUSH! I can do so many styles with it and still treat it with loving care. It is thriving from my continued attention.

I love my hair too. After chemical damage and a bad cut (courtesy of moi) years ago, I've babyed it for 11 years. It's super healthy soft and crazy curly long. It's somewhere between 27 and 32 inches depending on how I measure it. My goal is to get it all one length- mid-rear.

I don't think it's vain, like you said it's part of self love and acceptance. For too long black women have been told that we don't represent what's beautiful, and our hair was/is not it. Loving your hair whether natural or otherwise is empowering. Hair is a woman's crowning glory so love it. Whenever I hear people say they hate their nappy hair it makes me sad. Why? Because their are people out there who can't grow hair(cancer/illnesses) and in some parts of Asia, people are paying up to $10,000 (USD) to get their hair kinky for afros, dreds and what not. GOD gave us this hair for a reason! If people would take time to learn about themselves they would know why. Here goes, GOD gave US this type of hair because when were in the jungles/Savanahs of Africa, because of the hot/humid/dry climate our hair curls and grows out (afro) as not to hang on our necks and backs (a natural hair conditioner), Our skin is the color it is because living in Africa in the HOT sun people developed high concentrations of Folic Acid in skin as a natural UV protectant. Sorry about the history lessons ;

I'm loving my hair more and more, everyday. I have learned that many of my hair frustrations were caused b/c I was using the wrong products.

I love my hair all too pieces!!!!!  I can't remember a time when I didn't love it, but since finding great hairboards, I even enjoy maintaining it on my own. And I actually like doing it myself instead of going to the salon for EVERYTHING.

Lovin' my hair happy dance--------> :yay: :yay:

I love, love, LOVE my hair!! In the past I loved the way it looked, but now I love the fact that its healthy and that I'm responsible for it being in such great condition. The latter is a source of great pride for someone who never even used to wash her own hair - I'm empowered!

My relationship with my hair is spiritual, physical, emotional...so many things. For years I neglected it and abused it... and therefore myself. Now, I love my hair and care for it like the treasure it is. This journey we are on together is full of deep experiences. Together we are growing and learning and loving. :)

i love my ahir and its obvious to everyone from the way i talk about it. it has never given me any big problems and i keep on thanking it by mishandling it. i have decided to go back natural to give it the loving it has given me.........
