...excellent! :yep:

Let me share how I came about this:

Recently, I've been washing my hair at night, wrapping w/ Infusium 23, and letting it air-dry overnight. In the morning, it's relatively straight (I'm texlaxed). So I can decide to stick w/ the no heat and opt for an updo, or I can use my ceramic curling iron for a more styled look.

Now, I love the fact that Infusium is such a life-saver w/ detangling, but I definitelly needed more of a moisturizing leave-in for my new-growth. I tried w/ WGO, Hot Six Oil, and NTM Silk Touch. I didn't like either one b/c not only did they hinder the detangling process, but my new-growth didn't show that it was worth it :ohwell:

So, last night I decided to try w/ grease (the green SoftTouch: the only one that actually tamed my TWA when I was natural). I basically washed and conditioned in the shower, added Infusium to my wet hair, and then started to apply the grease to my newgrowth in various areas.

Then I changed my mind because, it too, was hindering the detangling process.

I decided to wash the grease out and just use Infusium. So, I re-shampooed w/ Suave's Daily Clarifying Shampoo and re-conditioned w/ Moisturefuse (Mizani). Then re-applied the Infusium. I could tell that my hair a tiny bit of grease still in it, but nothing heavy.

So...fast-forward to this morning...

The curling process was much easier in that it took less effort to smooth my new growth and ends. Now, granted, I did spray my hair w/ Isoplus Oil-sheet, but that would not have caused the effects that I noticed.

So, I think this is a winner. :yep:

This makes sense anyway. I remember when I was younger, I would scratch and grease my mama's head ( damn, that sounds country), before she washed it. And she always had a beautiful crown and glory.

I used to do this with my ends. Pile on the grease for 1 or 2 days pre-wash, I will have to start up again.
I love grease. grew up with hairfood grease on my scalp after every wash.

I do this also, especially when I know I'm not going to wash that night. I use Softee Coconut Oil or Silk Elements Herbal Scalp Dressing.
