French Bouffant Roller Group Buy

That rollerset video looks like it's Macherie (or @macherieamour). She used to be a member here before she left to start her own website that I can no longer find.

I can't see her videos on YouTube either but they used to be available behind a pay wall.

ETA:. I found the video (or video series) she did on how to rollerset your hair. You can buy it for streaming on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013WEXYS/ref=cm_sw_r_fa_dp_jBfKub18RQDMF) or buy the DVD.

Aw, indeed they're no longer available @PinkDiamond. However I don't mind having a few backups (since I'll have to get these ahead of payment) should someone change their mind. I have one backup already and I'll add you as a second.

I don't think we'll be switching vendors. He's now offered a 15% discount on the entire order instead of reducing the unit price for just the rollers but it's still not good enough. As their base prices are higher to begin with (20.42€ vs 17.32€ for the roller; 21.53€ vs 18.72€ for the pins) it's just not enough.

A few of you have asked so I'll post here that I'll place the order early on Saturday. That way everyone will have all of Friday to get their payment in. As most of y'all are in the past (to me  ) if I place the order on say, my Friday night, it'll be during your Friday afternoon-ish and will cut the day a bit short. So I'll wait until Saturday to avoid that and any possible hate emails. Lol.

@Beany @mzteaze I wonder why the site closed down. I was trying to find it before and couldn't. All I remember is that it was expensive to join and some people complained about it.

Me too. I haven't found an official reason. But I did find her personal FB page and I guess life happened. She appears to have married recently and just had two kids in the last two years or so. That would likely be my unofficial guess.

Ladies who claimed the red 1.5" and blue 1.3":
I passed by one of the locations earlier to get the few packs (this is from the second vendor) but it turns out that they are out of stock.

I had the lady call their other store to see if they had them there, but apparently not either. So I stressed to the lady that I've exchanged a few emails with another person (the discount guy, gave her his name) and that he said they had them. She then called their "logistics warehouse" and those guys confirmed that they were all out and only have 107 of the 2". They have since updated their site listing all the smaller sizes as sold out...still ticked at this second vendor. Eugh.

Sorry chicas :( I'll PM those who claimed them.

Anyone?? Cause I'm at WL as well.

So if you're WL you would need at least 3 packs? Not sure if I got enough... I'm very close to WL but got two. I have fine hair though.

I think aside from hair length, you need to consider the width of the roller. You sections are not supposed to be wider than the roller and they are supposed to be the depth of the roller you're using. So the longer your hair is, you may need larger rollers in circumference, but your head only has so much space for rollers. So if you are used to using 1 inch rollers, these 2 inch rollers would require you to use larger sections, and thus less rollers.

The longer your hair gets you may roll more times on the roller, which likely would increase your drying time. That is why you would need to get larger circumference rollers.

I have a hard time believing anyone's head is big enough to need more than 24 2 inch rollers, especially as these are wider than American rollers, but I would consider how many rollers you use now, their current circumference, and make an educated guess.

Great and informative response

Last day girlies! We're by 60 packs purchased :yep:

@Amarilles My aplogies if you have answered this question somewhere in the thread already...you know I can be a little deet-da-deet  LOL

What do you think is the turnaround time for the rollers to be shipped to you once you place the order?

Annnnddddd I know I have told you this already...but thank you so much for doing this for us. @MileHighDiva Thank you too ma'am for reaching out and getting the ball rolling too. You know us roller heads are in heaven right now.

It's dooone! The order is placed :yay::pepper:

So we had exactly 31 ladies, 69 2" roller packs purchased, 14 packs of pins and the only pack of 1/2" rollers available, totaling 1,433.31€.

1,164.03€ (2" rollers)
262.08€ (pins)
7.20€ (1/2" roller pack)
1,433.31€ total

It was a little tricky to pay, I forgot that here in France our debit cards have a monthly maximum cap, afterwhich the card declines. DH and I made some fine purchases earlier this month (lol, a Yahama home theater sound system trio-pack which I would recommend to everyone! ) but because of that purchase, the rollers would not fit under our 2,500€ cap. The vendor made an exception for us and allowed us to pay via a bank transfer, but they said the processing will take longer because of this.

Will update when it's processed! I'm hoping it's matter of 2-3 days more than the norm. Sorry for that ladies.
