Fedex Lost MY Sickbay Package

I am so livid right now.. Fedex is the worst company ever. Why would the delivery man leave my package on the steps of an apt building. A big one at that. You guys know that someone is in my building enjoying my products. I am furious. They are telling me know one can resolve the issue for a couple of days. I want to scream.

Wow... thats horrible!!

I dont understand why the delivery person would leave the package at an apartment building. That is crazy.

I once ordered a portable DVD player and they left it at my door as well. Big SONY splashed all over the box. My "new to the building next door neighboor" actually took the box inside and let me know about it...now this is probably rare depending upon what city you live in.

Sorry it happened to you. I had my products go to the job addy because I was worried about this exact thing. :(

Oh NO!!! Sorry to hear that - Hopefully they can find out what happened soon.

Fedex is the worst. They left my cellphone, 3-in-1 printer and my son's psp right in front of my door. thank goodness my son gets home @ 2:30 and was able to get them before someone else did

Wow, where I live fedex leaves you a tag on your door or sticky on your mailbox to say that you have a parcel to be picked up.

Sorry this happened to you.

Does Fedex offer signature confirmation. If they do maybe you could request that service next time. That way they can't leave your package unless its signed for first.

yeah, i hate fedex. they always used to leave my stuff outside of my apt. door. thankfully, none of my neighbors ever stole my stuff. one of my neighbors was nice enough to get my stuff and bring it to me when i came home (after being gone for 2-3 days at a time). UPS is just as bad, imo. they left my stuff with other people that were not authorized to take my things for me.

Yeah, when i lived in an apt. they left a tag on my door and i had to drive way across town to pick my package up, but it was safe. now i live in a house and they leave EVERYTHING on my porch at the front door. ANYBODY could just walk up and get it. They should have some rules governing this, this is not good business! I am so sorry this happened to you, I hope you get everything replaced for free quickly.

I am right there with you, it doesn't matter where you live. I am on a military base and alot of people think you live on post you are ok. I have been doing this all my life and no it is not true. The UPS and USPS guys try to put the package in between the screen door and if not possible they will try to hide the big packages by the side door. I live close to my job, being on post, I track and try to run home. I have some neighbors that are questionable and some kids that are the same.

Now Fedex is total different, the first time package was delivered to me. It was delivered on the steps of housing marked to be torned down on a street clearing marked on both ends of the street. I believe the Fedex guy was going to come back and get it, the housing inspector found it on the steps of a house marked to come down. That is the reason I believe the Fedex guy was coming back to get the package (MP3 Player). The next time an all in one office printer was delivered several days early and they left it on my front porch, just lucky my husband came home to eat lunch. I was so made because the shipper local in Missouri, didn't even put it in a mailing box, just used the box it came in. So anyone would have known what it was.:perplexed:confused:

honestly guys, where else are they supposed to leave packages if not near your front door???? they cant open your door and put it in your house or squeeze a big box in a mail box. its not their fault that you have shady neighbors who steal. what would you have them do?

I wanted fedex to leave my package at the building office that is the instructions I gave to sickbay.. They took it upon themselves to leave it in front of my building, so that is negligence.

I agree, fedex need to use a little common sense when leaving packages. When i am not at home, I instruct them to leave my packages on my back porch...It's pretty safe and nothing has happened yet. This Christmas I came home and saw packages on my front porch and they was delivered in the original box..so when I pull up all I saw was a big *** JVC stereo system and Faberware pots on my front porch. I was livid...what if someone had taken my stuff? The delivery are so anxious to get it off of their hands so they will not have to come back the next day, they'll leave it anywhere and that's sad:ohwell:

I am sorry they left your packages. They always leave my packages on my door step. One time they left my Tiffany jewelry!!!! Lucky for my no one walks past my door to see it and take it. You should call them and complain.

Have you confirmed with the vendor that they did indeed request signature confirmation? If you paid for it, and explicitly made the request they should have done it, that way Fedex wouldn't have just left the package at your doorstop.

Also, have you tried talking with your apartment manager about the possibility of having packages dropped off at the office? This is what we had at my last apartment complex, but then again it could depend on the size of the complex and the availability of the staff. But it's worth looking into.

Or you could leave a signed request on your door for them not to leave packages there and that you will pick them up at nearest available pick up depot.

I had some furniture delivered and the fed-ex guy jacked it up infront of me with a lift.... then proceeded to claim that it was damaged in shipping. I got it replaced but still.... that was unbelievable to me.

DHL does the same thing...leaves your packages in plain sight for everyone to see.

I have a balcony-type area (does that make sense?) and the delivery person could have placed my package in one of two corners so that no one could see the package. What did they do? Put it right in front of my door. No common sense. Thank goodness I got home in time.
