I had to steam Tuesday morning. I used that new Jane Carter Curl Defining Cream. It left my hair hard, even after I cowashed. So I steamed for 15 mins Tuesday morning and instant moisture. I will cowash again tomorrow with oils for a few minutes then a DC. I LOVE STEAM!!!!!!!!:love2::heart2::heart::infatuated:

I am steaming now with kenra..... My steamer is crap I got it from salons are us the plastic hood is coming lose from all the little screws only one scre is holding the hood together I just notice this tonight I wish I had brought the one charz used in her video

I steamed over the weekend with Nature's Gate Aloe Vera moisturizing conditioner. I don't think it did anything for my hair. I will clarify and try it again before I write it off totally.

I steamed with Joico Moisture Recovery (again) for one hour.

I have other deep conditioners, but this one just works so nice for my hair.

Sigh... it makes me happy.

Friday I steamed with Silicon Mix for 30 mins. I cannot believe that I'm 16.5 weeks post because I have never lasted this long. My intention is to relax my ahir somewhere between Nov. 5-8

Steaming has really helped me manage my new growth and my shedding seemd to be lessened also:up:

On Sunday I steamed and combo oils, Alma, Jasimine, WGO, and Hemp. Then slathered on a combo of DPR-11, QH Cholesterol, Lustersilk Cholesterol, AVJ and Castor Oil. By steaming the last 6 weeks and having a moisture only regimen has definitely curtailed my breakage.

I got my steamer yesterday and now I am under it DCing with Kenra Moisture Condish. This is a really nice experience so far.

On Sunday I relaxed my hair with mizani bb, used ors replenishing prior to neutralizing then used roux pc and dc under steamer with nexxus humectress and evco. My hair feels like silk and I'm so happy!! I'll post a picture when I get home.

ladies, I have to drop from the steaming challenge. The towel method is time consuming for me. I will start steaming when I can buy a stamer

I have to tell the truth I wasn't a believer (even though the towel and other extreme dcing method w/steam had made changes in my hair:wallbash:). Well I got my steamer last week and used three days in a row (yes I did)... And my hair LOVES it! I love my steamer!

ETA: I should have said:I also just started using wheat germ oil (in the last 4-6 weeks). When i steamed the first time and got a fro-for-the-first time since being natural.:blush:My hair usually looks almost like the ramen hair when wet. But I had a soft moisturized fro all the way around my head. That's what made me do it again and i'm thinking this has to mean I Needed Deeper moisture (idk)than what I had been giving my hair.

THANK YOU LHCF!

Well ladies, it's a sad, sad, day for me. I found rust in my water container. I called Salon R Us. I have to send the steamer back. Luckily it under the one year warranty. If they can't fix it, I will get a new one. So I will probably be without my steamer for 2 weeks. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!!!!!!!! GIFSoup

I'm steaming now with ORS and honey. I LOVE that combination. I alternate it weekly with a more moisturizing DC the second week.

I was just thinking how my hair felt delicious :lick:before I washed it and I can only attribute it to the steam treatments. My hair just holds moisture so much better and actually has more weight to it now (swang, swang, swang). I can't believe I waited this long to get a steamer.

The only thing I hate about the steamer is not being able to walk around and do things. :ohwell:I have so much to do tonight but have to sit still. Normally I walk around in my heating cap with a long extension cord LOL.

Just finished steaming with henna. O.M.G.!! My hair felt like BUTTA! It was sooo easy to detangle. I'm now a stan of henna and steaming! First time trying it, won't be the last though! :yep:

i did a hardcore protein today with the aphogee so i steamed with the balancing moisturiser mixed with megasil moisturising treatment

I just steamed for 15 mins with, my usual mix, minus ORS replen. pak, plus Castor & Sally's argan oil, and honey...

I used less amount of each condish than usual and my hair took it very well...

I gotta go sit under for another 15 mins...

I pre-pooed with Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque for about an hour. I rinsed it all out under the shower, then applied Curls (for Target) Creamy Curl Cleanser. After rinsing it out, I used Aubrey Organics GPB and left on for 5 minutes as a mini protein treatment. I am now under the steamer with Honeysuckle Rose on  I just decided to change it up from my regular use of Joico.

Afterwards, I'll rinse out with cold water and apply Giovanni Direct Leave-In and twist with Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Cream Moisturizer.

Hey Ladies!!!! I steamed for the first time ever today!!! Can I just tell you that I love the results?! My hair feels uber moisturized. I used a combination of hempseed butter and the Vatika Intensive Nourishment Conditioner (love this stuff!!)

I am so happy that I made the investment in the steamer! I can't wait to see what my hair will look like this time next year!!!

I decided that im gonna do this from now on , it will strech the products longer, which will save me some money....

I ended up not going under the steamer the second time but I left the DC in over night..

My hair feels great...

Last night applied henna. This morning applied indigo with steam for 30min. Airdried hair then applied AOWC, HSR, glycerin, WGO steam for 40min (2X20)

Currently steaming in my henna mix then will proceed to steaming in my indigo mix. Then I will DC with my moisture mix of Tigi MM, Humectress, Kenra, WGO. Castor Oil. Airdry in braids.

So yesterday was my 2nd time steaming. LHCF did it again, I am now broke but my hair looks sooo good! I steamed with Mane and Tail because my hair loves protein. Now I love how my hair is so moisturized and bouncy. Ya'll don't understand, I have used the towel method, dcing overnight, and dcing under the pibbs, but none touches this. I am going to continue to steam at least once a week.

Here is what I used to deep condition steam with yesterday. I ran out of my Mixed Chick's Deep Conditioner, so I bought the Pantene Relaxed and Naturals Conditioner and added my EVOO and Coconut oil. I also purchased some curl former type stuff from Marshall's 6 months or so ago and decided to throw that in the mix too. Here's how my hair turned out!

Wow! Came out nice. Really laid down the fluffiness and gave a nice shine. Does it feel as soft as it looks?

I fINALLY got a chance to steam last night. I used my usual mix of Giovanni SAS, Suave Humectant, lots of honey, lots of cocont oil, and for a change I added a good dose of wheat germ oil. I steamed using the hot towel method for about an hour, then I took the heat cap off and DC'd overnight. My hair was so soft today! I love this steaming stuff!

Yesterday I steamed for an hour. I know its a little long when using a stand up, but I was doing my homework and I was cold and it was so relaxing. I steamed with a half protein half moisturizing condish. Nice and strong for my braids under this wig.
