What's black soap used for?
[/ QUOTE ]
"Traditional black soap, imported recently from Ghana, West Africa is 100% vegetable-based natural.
Black soap is actually a dark brown. It gets it's color from the burning and boiling of various ingredients including cocoa pod powder, plantain peel powder, healing herbs, native palm kernel and coconut oil.
Black Soap is used for most skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and rough, dry skin.
It is naturally unscented and uncolored."
When I bought my bar...the name on the box was called Dudu something. I showed my husband the soap and he was like
! Cause it looks like....well you know.
But it is made from black paste, shea butter, honey. My skin and hair love it!!! Have no break outs whatsoever!
Heres how to make it:
Black Soap Recipe:
You will need to have Coconut and Palm or Palm Kernal Oil
on hand and cook OUTSIDE.
1. 4 oz. of black paste and 15 oz. of oil will give a good amount of soap.
2. Oil and the black paste is mixed up and heated till it start boiling.
3.Stir continuesly till it hardens up.
4.You have to stir to have a smooth soap.
5. Keep stiring till it becomes dark.
6. Darkness will depend on the oil used.
(Coconut will give a Black Soap, Palm a lighter brown)
