Hi ladies,

Wow...there are SO many hair challenges out there and so many people who have been able create their own hair growth regimens that I was wondering...HAS ANYONE OUT THERE EVER BEEN ABLE TO GROW 1" OF HAIR (or more) IN 1 MONTH? :look: If so and you don't mine sharing, can you tell us what you did then (or what you currently do) to achieve it?

Thank you!

Sorry so big, i dont know how to shrink them.

Wooooo Khaiya...that's growth is shocking...geesh! So is that really all you do...condition wash daily and massage to get 1" (i.e., do you take vitamins during that time, etc)?? How much growth do you get if you only wash / co wash once per week or every 2 weeks? Do you think taking vitamins or eating right or exercise has had anything to do with your growth or is it just the co washes? As for massaging, is that in addition to your co-washes or r u saying u massage as u co-wash? do u use any stimuating oils when u co-wash or when u massage?

Khaiya...please forgive all the questions. I am just surprised to find someone so quickly that has been experiencing this so I'm like
 :spinning: :lick:

Thank you so much!!!

Yes I have grown and retained an inch of hair in one month, and it is a wonderful experience!:yep: Congrats!

I have did in 2008 I was getting a steady 1 inch every month from Feb - April 08. I was excited. My usual spurts are during the season transition from Winter to Spring.

Bumping because I want to know the answer. Im protective bunning until january and using MN and Ovation faithfully so.... maybe I'll be able to help you

I did when I massaged Ovation Cell Therapy + castor oil into my scalp for a month. I got an inch but was very lazy after that month was over. I started yesterday, and will try through the end of December :look:

Thanks winniebread, i dont mind the questions at all.

I cowash every other day, when i just started my journey in November last year i got 1/2 inch a month for like the first 2 months, i used MT for a month and got 3/4 inch in that month, i stopped using MT (i dc with it if i remember i have it, like every 3 months or so).

I massage my scalp separately from my cowashes, i have a regular back massager that i use to do it, i just put on my scarf and massage on top of it. I try to take vitamins but it doesn't really work, i've been taking them on and off in the past few months but not regularly at all, maybe like every few days.

I dont eat particularly healthy, i play volleyball 1-3 times a week (been slacking off recently) i dont use any oils for my massages, for like the past 2 weeks i've been trying castor oil but i've been slacking off on that too so i dont kno how beneficial it will be, i'll post back if i see where the castor oil makes a difference. HTH

I have!

When I'm really diligent about the following I can get between .75-1.5 inches a month:

1) 5 minute scalp massages with oil
2) DC 2x per week (protein 1-2 per month, the rest moisturizing)
3) Oiling ends and putting in buns (protective styling)
4) Protein heavy diet (between 50-100 grams)
5) Drinking a lot of water (80-120 oz.)

I do have to cut my ends a lot because I'm trying to grow out my layers and and a damaged area in the upper back part of my scalp. I have my regimen in my blog if you want to take a look.

Oh! And I'm currently taking Iron, EPO, Biotin, and Super B-complex daily. My fish oil is coming in a few days and I'll be taking a spoon full twice a day. I've heard amazing things about this, so I'll let you know how it works for me! :yep:

Hi Forever in Bloom...WOW...you know what I actually have some of this at home. I didn't really believe in it so I wasn't consistent but maybe I need to go back to it and try it out. Now question for you though: Why did you use Castor Oil with it? Is that supposed to help the Ovation penetrate more?

Genetics. You can increase your growth by massaging you scalp daily, using hair growth stimulants and increasing your nutrition but whether you will get 1 inch if it's not genetically imprinted in you is the question.

Thanks for sharing Mangamaniac,

WOW .. that's CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY that you can get 1.5" per month. Do you ever feel your hair growing out of the scalp...I wonder if that's what the itching feeling is... THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMMMMMMMM...

In any case I was wondering...do you do the 5 min massages daily?

Also, how in the world do you get 100 grams of protein in your diet...wow... Is that equivalent to like 10 fist sizes of beef ;). Just kidding...but really though...what did you eat or drink to actually get that much protein in your diet?

Lastly, in the context of it all, do you think the vitamins have REALLY increased the growth for you or do you think it was one or two of the other things that you did?

Thanks so much again!!!

Yes! I got really good results with sulfur. I never used MTG, instead I bought powdered sulfur and made my own growth oil. I was getting about an inch a month when I used it regularly & kept up with everything. i stopped when my hair got a little overwhelming.

You know...that's a good point. I know genetics definitely plays a big part in all of this. You never know until you try I guess. I want to do all I can to reach my maximum growth rate possible (based on my genetic potential). It sounds like the massaging is a reoccurring theme so far so I may include that. It's just that it seems like when it's all said and done my fingers and wrist feel more tingly and stimulated than my scalp actually feels. I don't know if it's the thickness of my hair or what but that's what makes me not want to continue with it. Have you ladies ever felt this way or experienced what I mean? Many times I massage and think "Is this actually working because I really don't feel that much of a difference"...I actually feel more when I use a stimulating oil by itself applied to the scalp. Thoughts?

^^I agree, i also wasn't happy with the tangling i sometimes got from massaging with my fingers, thats why i started using the back massager. My arms dont get tired, my fingers dont get tingly and i can feel the warmth of circulation in my head when i'm done. Best of all no more tangles!

A hand massager sounds like a good idea. Where do you think we could get a good one? About how much do they cost?

^^I have no idea, i know they sell some particularly for hair but i just took one my mom had lying around. Its just an ordinary conair percussion massager, nothing special about it, i'm Jamaican living in Jamaica though so i dont know where to tell you to buy it. This is the one i have:http://www.smallelectrics.com/coprpema.html

Yes but I was not doing anything special. When I do get these 1 to 2 inch spurts my hair growth usually doesnt budge for 3 to 4 months after that. This does not always happen but it has in the past.

I have before but it wasn't due to anything special. Just the summer months. Back then, I didn't care, now i'm trying to get 1 inch per month by exercising, taking vitamins, drinking water and monitoring my diet.

I naturally grow one inch a month... which is why I stopped cutting my hair in short styles because my hair would grow out so fast...ugh.... my sis is the same way... sshe grew a 12 inch fro in a lil less than 12 months (I believe one month she took biotin but stopped because her nails grew too fast)...

I am so sorry!! I just saw you asked me a question. Heh heh...

There is already castor oil in the product, and since it is known to aid in promoting hair growth, I was just doubling up!:grin:
