If you've been engaged for 2 days or 2 years, I wanna hear your thoughts and experiences! From wedding planning to premarital counseling, to future in laws... let's talk!

We're getting married in May. I'm super excited to start my new journey with him but I get too excited and think that I need to master all the skills I'm interested in--sewing, crocheting, woodworking, lol. I'm just gonna take it one step at a time!

Got officially engaged in August. Engagement party in 2 weeks on 11/4 and I still don't know what we're going to serve!

Engaged since February, started planning in June, wedding is in May!

We hired a full planner, best decision ever.

Had first floral meeting yesterday. Have hair and makeup trial next week.

I’m enjoying this more than I thought I would!

@KiangaziNyota it turned out nice! We had a little drama with one of my friends (you know there's always one!), but other than that we had a good turn out and a great time.

BTW, did you guys know people bring gifts to engagement parties? I didn't

@lisatamika I'm glad everything went well! And I didn't know pple brought gifts to the engagement party, but that's awesome!

I had a dream a few weeks ago that it was a month before my wedding and I didn't have my wedding dress yet and I was happy because that meant I'd have to buy a nice regular dress that I wouldn't have to bring to a tailor. Sigh.

Me, my Maid of Honor and another bridesmaid did my first dress shopping trip. If you ever wanna feel like a whale, go wedding dress shopping.

Wedding venue booked! Now it's on to a photographer and a DJ. Will be dress shopping in the new year

Just got engaged on October 27th. It's been a month already! We started looking at local venues with a September wedding in mind. This past weekend, we decided to go with a destination wedding and bump it up to May 2018! Feeling overwhelmed but excited at the same time...

I can finally post in this thread!! We just got engaged last Saturday. Still have to set a date, but it will probably be a short engagement. Still have to wrap my head around it all!

I'm newly engaged and I have not one but two weddings happening. Luckily I'm only planning one.

Now that my family and a lot of my friends are vaccinated we can have an engagement dinner. Just ordering food from one of my favorite restaurants. It's been a year since my family has seen FH so we want to maximize the time we have to catch up and just have fun with each other.

I also want to get engagement photographers booked ASAP. I hope to speak to 2 of the people we're considering this week. I want to get our pictures done soon now that its spring. Also so we can set up our registry and focus on the venue.

Thoughts: Currently planning an elopement-style destination wedding, opting out of a few traditionalist things to save money. 3 months to go!
Besides getting married takes around 10 minutes right? Lol
