Congratulations Ms.K! on your Phyto experience!!!!:p

Now you know of what the PhytoPusha speaks of! and she speaketh the
truth didn't she?!?!!!

Wowwwwwwww...you have such an extensive photo (shot by shot) of the process...this should be more than enough to bring more converts into the Phyto fold!

Looking verrrrrry good! *Applause*:D

No problemo!

-Was there significant shedding or broken hairs during the application and rinse? I always lose more than I'm comfortable with when using lye.

I lost about fifteen during the whole process, which is GREAT, esp. after reading what Lindy said about seeing her daughter lose a golfball size when she gets hers prof. relaxed.

-Was there any scalp irritation?

Zip, zero, zilch.

-How many minutes do you estimate it took for the application?

Due to my own ineptitude it took longer than the 7 minutes that they give you for application time, it took me 7 minutes to do the back. And I rushed the front in about 3 minutes. I then took the whole 18 minute allotted time to smooth.

-Did the curl relax more QUICKLY or EASILY than with lye in the past, or did you have to do just as much smoothing?

There is a difference in where I smoothed (back) and where I didn't smooth, but some may prefer the more tex'd appearance of the front to the straightness of the back. The lye in my opinion never gave me a truly straight result even when stylists used a fine tooth comb's teeth to smooth.

HTH :)

Kenesha,

THANKS SO MUCH for posting a detailed review with PICTURES! :notworthy I particularly like how smooth and uniform your hair looks wet with no product.

I'm done sitting on the fence. It's Phytorelaxer next time.

I too get freaked out self-relaxing with lye, and I apply it in a panic. I think I could remain calm and systematic with this product.

Questions:

Sorry if you answered some of it before. I'm just too excited.

It killed me not to have anyone to be able to take pictures while I was actually applying the relaxer, but I'm a little special

Well, regardless, I think you did a superb job! This was so informative to anyone that might be interested in the product, so that was really great of you to do!

Ms. Kenesha,
Your hair looks beautiful. My next relaxer will be phyto. My mind is now made up.

MsK..you did a wonderful job :) . What index did you used (sorry if you already posted the information)

Girllllll your hair looks so good!!

I was on the fence about the phyto being that I have a 4lb tub of affirm that I just bought and don't know what to do with.

Anyways, your pics and review have put me over the top and I just got back from hairboutique. I just placed my order for index 2.

Thanks Ms. K!!

Oh and and how could I forget our phyto pusha, Kaddy!! Thank you for putting the phyto out there and nudging everyone to give it a try. Without you none of this would be possible!! lol

I just hope that I get the same results as you Ms. K!!

Thanks Nice,

You, Kaddy, and Sengs really helped seal the deal with your wonderful results!

I used Index 2, I forgot to tell everyone. :)

Your hair really came out nice! It looks so shiny and smooth but has body at the same time.

I can't wait to use my kit in March. I just can't wait I tell ya! LOL

Thanks for answering all my questions, ms_kenesha!

I really hope the Pytorelaxer will cause less shedding during the application process. Also, my lye relaxed hair gets SO TANGLY when wet. Maybe a different chemical would prevent this.

Wow you did a great job Ms K. Thanks for posting your review and the detailed pics. Im planning on doing my relaxer tomorrow, so I hope my results are as good as yours. :)

Girl, some of those pics were too hot for TV! LOL Just kidding, they were cute. I'm glad the Phyto worked for you. You make a girl wanna try it herself. I'm feeling the Pusha's telepathy saying to me "do it, girl do it".
I just had a touch up with Deep Brilliance lye after having no lye in for a while, thinking lye was healthier. Can I switch again to phyto no lye since it is more natural and without some of the harsh chems?

*Mo's ears prick up as to the movie star's hair plans*

I have a question, I am fairly new around here, but does this kit include one application or can you do retouches like a regular box kit? Your hair looks really nice Ms. K, I learned to do a rollerset based on your pictures!! I hope it grows as long as possible for your wedding!
