Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.

Does your hair shine?

My hair shines a little bit but I could definitely stand a little more blingage from it. It has its days though, I'm hoping that when I straighten it in the future I will be able to blind a few weave watchers on the street!

lol...yes shone is a word...

after i dc it seems to SHINEEE but not so much after the other days...but i have other areas im working thru on my head so i gotta deal with this a lil later down the list.....but what is everyone doing for shine?

My hair shines a little. What helped me was drinking more water. YES, when Whipz told me this (She has incredible shine) I was like, WATER????? But I was willing to try it out. I noticed a difference.

That's one thing I need to work on. I try to drink half my weight in water, but it's so hard to remember with three chirrens runnin around :perplexed I didn't know it could help with shine!

:yep:

I credit the glycerine/aloe vera mix -- it seems to sink into my hair and make it shine instead of sitting on top like a serum or something.
Vatika/Coconut Oil - Bliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing
Lacio Lacio - Makes my hair very shiny but I don't use it regularily.

I like a "dry" shine. Meaning if someone touches my hair, their hands don't come away coated with oils and serums, and shine spray.

The only thing that makes my hair shine is a dab of Vatika oil. I believe it's because of the coconut that is in it!

Only this week my hair is super shiny. I got the Dominican treatment. It's so straight and has tons of shine (not normally) I will be really sad when I wash it.

I have a fair amount of natural shine, when my hair is well moisturized. But with the right products my hair will bling. ;)

My hair usually shines when straight and "sheens" when curly. Internally, Omega 3,6,9 makes all the difference in the world along with water and lots of green leafy veggies. Externally, Vatika oil and consistent deep conditioning keeps it supple and shining.

My hair shines when I use aloe vera. But my hair is sooo shiny from using Kinky Curly Custard Creme. I didn't know my hair could get any shinier, awesome stuff, and great curl definition.

My har gleams and shines. More so when it's straight though.

All hail coconut oil and staying on top of my night baggying/scarf method.

Oh and I can't forget the henna. Without henna I would have way less shine.

I have to admit...my hair will damn near cause snow blindness. j/k:grin:

Girl please, you know you ain't playin! Your hair has some serious blingage! I WISH I had that much shine!!!! Didn't you start a thread about the Syntonics relaxer?

Yes, my hair has shine when it's not in protein overload, and has been clarified recently. And when I use Jane Carter's Nourish & Shine, I have more shine. :yep:

It's hard for me too Tiffers but I really try. Mine will bling with product added but I want that natural shine.

:lachen::lachen:I was really joking but...

I've always had shiny hair.:naughtycouch:

Yes, I started a Syntonic relaxer thread. The relaxer is one of the best but it doesn't get a lot of air time for some reason. I don't think a lot of people know about it.

If I use too much product, I lose the shine. I really heavily on deep conditioners to add the moisture I need and I don't use oil or serums and stuff...they just weigh my hair down and make it look dull.

The other thing that adds a lot of shine is demi-perm color.

And this is why i've been drinking lots of water lately and taking my flaxseed oil. My hair has no shine at all. It looks sooo dry.
