do you just deal with split ends?

I have been taking realy good care of my hair and I am still getting split ends.about a month before I got my braids out I got a slight trim. my ends were still healthy when I got the braids.I followed cg moistirized,and strenghten daily and washed weekly.I am about2 weeks out of the braids and I have been protective styling with an instant weave, washing and deep con weekly and moisturizing daily. I don't have that many splits but my ends seem rough.should I just keep doing what I'm doing and wait to trim or trim now?I'd hate to ruin all the progress I just got.btw I'm texlaxed coming up on 4 months post...maybe I just need a touch up

Just take some sharp shears and clip them out....I do this sometimes while watching mvies so I can take my time.
