I was on this no trim kick, I got a wash and set on Thursday which showed that my hair seemed to be growing well. The lady said that my ends looked fine, but Saturday after my curls wore off a bit I could see the splits ends. I've been doing the moisturizing every night, 2x a day, so are split ends inevitable, has anyone avoided split ends? What's the deal?

bumping! cause i really dont no the answer! Wouldnt that have to be a result of extreme moisture and care of/ on the ends?

i think some split ends are inevitable eventually. how often a trim is needed is the question. i've been able to avoid having to trim as often because of mega moisture and protective styles, but my last trim told me that even that won't prevent splits altogether.

They are indeed inevitable. All u can do is try to keep them at a minimum
