I was all set to say "Yes I avoid mineral oil like the plague!!!!111one"
Then I looked at my beloved Humectress. Mineral oil.

So instead I will say that I try to keep it to a minimum.

Yep i avoid like the plague!! Except in relaxers though... I have gotten on a Dominican product kick!!!

I aovid mineral oil on anything that goes ON my hair.

I was horrified to find out that the Dabur Amla oil was in a mineral oil base, but, much to my suprise, my SCALP doesn't mind mineral oil as much.

So - I avoid it, almost totally - I won't knowingly buy something with mineral oil in it.

I hate minera oil, always have done since I was little, so I voted yes. I could use it, now that I know not to use it as a moisturiser, so I probably would get different results. It used to be slathered all over my head as a kid, my scalp would itch and I would get it all over my hands, and since then, i've learned better. I does no harm to use it, as long as it's used properly I guess.

I don't. Just about all my favorite products have mineral oil listed in the ingredients. As long as it's not one of the first 3 ingredients listed, then I'm alright. At the end of the day, if it works well for my hair with no ill effects, I'm all for it.

Me, too. But sometimes mineral oil in within the first three ingredients. I love my daily moisturizer ORS Olive Oil in a jar.

Yes, but like someone else said, not as much as I avoid petroleum. I have products that contain it though, like MTG, its almost impossible to avoid it entirely

I avoid it being in the first two ingredients. I always assume that means that there's a high percentage in the product.

I try to stay away from products with mineral oil high on the ingredients lists if its something I am going to mainly use on my scalp. I have a few items that i use on my hair that have mineral oil and it seems to be ok, but I remember my days of using a hair and scalp moisturizer that was full of mineral oil and my face was all broken out from my hair laying on my face and my scalp had frequent pimples.

not really. i've used ors carrot oil and the tea tree oil before, if i re-call the tea tree oil definitely uses mineral oil, i'm not 100% on the carrot oil. the tea tree oil worked well for me. i don't really avoid mineral oil or any "damned" ingredients such as sulphates and what not. i just stay away from heavy greasy pomades/greases now and pink lotion.

No, not really. I use the Indian Oils and it has mineral oil in it, but I also use the powders which cleanse the scalp so there is not much build-up.

I avoid that and SLS. It leaves me with less choices but usually the products I pick have the best ingredients and really work for me. I don't have to have a whole bunch of products to choose from, just a couple that work. Keeps it simple for me anyway and I prefer that.

I guess I do. I mix all of my stuff and I DO NOT use mineral in the mixes. I only use the good oils that penetrate and promote health.

I've never really looked at labels until now...and even now I just look at the first ingredient on my moisturizers to make sure it says water, and then scan it to make sure there is no mineral oil or petro..

the only thing I still use that has mineral oil in it is silicon mix, but that is about to be replaced now that I've tried 10 en 1

I stopped even putting baby oil on my girls and in their hair..Johnston's has a baby leave in and I use that now.
