Do women look better with long hair?

I think long hair gives some women - who would otherwise be just okay or unattractive - a bit of an edge. It makes an already beautiful woman into a gorgeous one. However, long hair isn't flattering on all women. Some women I truly believe look better/sexier/more feminine with shorter hair.

Agreed. For some reason (perhaps it is because long hair is a great desirable trait in all communities, but especially the black community) longer hair allows people who are average looking or just unattractive to have some double-take quality and consideration.

I think it depends highly on the individual. Their looks and shape.

Yes I do think most women look better with long hair. I think it makes them look sweet and feminine and guys go crazy for it. I know I'll feel a lot more attractive once my hair reaches my goal length because at the moment I'm protective styling and don't feel too attractive with my hair constantly in a bun, but I can see the difference it has made in the length of my hair, so I'll stick with it until I reach waistlength.

OT: CelinaStarr, your hair is so beautiful. If I had hair like that, I would feel so happy.

yes i definitely think so. I sometimes play the 'rating game' with my guy friends and I notice that with them, almost every single time, a girl with longer hair will get a higher rating than a girl with say, SL or NL hair. Even if the girl with SL hair is traditionally prettier. I'm not saying that fug chicks with WSL will get 9 ratings but she'd def rate a 5 while a fug chick with NL hair would get a 3. I never bring it up, its just something that I noticed.

IMO, WOMEN in general are beautiful/attractive/etc regardless. Long hair or short hair shouldn't be an issue when it comes to looks. I don't think long hair will make a person look better, on some women, IMO, long hair makes them look older(but only on some women, not all women) if a person is seemed unattractive, long hair might make THEM feel attractive, but if a person is growing their hair because they feel unattractive then that's a self eestem issue. Beauty is within, and it's sad when people judge someone based on their looks, but in reality people do, and when they feel unattractive they go to extremes to feel pretty. Long hair is long hair, everyone is beautiful in their own way. This respond might be off from your question. sorry..

Totally depends on the person. Short hair can take a woman from "average" to "wow" (Amber Rose). On some people, short hair enhances their beauty (Jada Pinkett, Halle Berry). On some people, the length of their hair makes no diffference at all (people like me). On some people, long hair is definitely unflattering (short & stubby people, usually). And some people NEED long hair. It's hard to say.

Usually they do. But that's because the average woman is just that. Average. You usually have to be a 10 to wear your hair super short, and everyone goes on and on about how it brings out the face. What they don't mention is that that face was (probably) commercially beautiful to begin with.

I don't agree. When I was younger, I looked great with a super short cut, and I definitely was not a 10. But I have nice eyes & lips & cheekbones, and I was young with smooth skin.

I agree that long hair is a kind of trigger that gets a kind of automatic "Pavlov's dog" salivating reaction from men. Plus, now that I am older and heavier, long hair is a greater asset / distraction from not-so-ideal fatures - i.e. chubby face / blemished skin.

As others have said, many (pretty or average) women's features are enhanced by long hair. But there are some women who look better with short hair.

Some women are pretty with whatever length of hair they have. Some unattractive people are given a pass because they have long hair (why lie). Personally I think I look best with long hair. I have a round face and I don't like the way it looks paired with short hair. The shortest I'll go is a shoulder length bob all around. Anything shorter than that isn't cute on me. But that's just me.

what about volume? some people look like their hair is eating them when they have a lot of volume, some people look amazing. Some people look like drowned animals without volume and some people look just fine.
