whenever I see someone say that they use a dime size quantity of anything esp conditioner/detangler/leave-in, I'm like . my hair is SL and my hair would laugh at that amount and say 'what about the rest of us???!!' even a quarter size is not enough. are there more people like me to use dollops to hand full amount of conditioner/leave-in products on my hair? .....or, maybe little to no product is the key.....

I find that I am heavy handed when it comes to product. In my mind it's not enough unless I can feel it on every strand. LOL It a good thing I co-wash a lot.

My hair is almost SL and I use about a half dollar of conditioner, and about a dime of leave-in. I just make sure I distribute it evenly through lightly towel dried hair and comb it through.

I bought a bottle of NTM leave in last Sunday and it's almost finished. I have SL hair and quarter size amount of product just doesn't cut it. :ohwell:

Ooops, I answered dime size which is what I use for any products that are leave-ins...but for my cleansers and DC's I use much more.

I like to saturate every strand so I use around 4-6 handfuls for my whole head.

This is me. I use 1 handful of shampoo and maybe be 3 handfuls of conditioner, but if I'm dcing on dry hair:nono: it may take up to 6. For leaves I probably use a dime or a quarter amount.

When it comes to conditioner, it's a few handfuls. Leave ins and oils would be like a dime sized amount.

Great question! I feel so wasteful and out of the ordinary when I'm using to quarter sized amounts of product. On quarter squirt is for one half of my head, and another quarter sized amount for the other half. This is how I do my conditioner and leave in.

It depends on how Im washing my hair. If Im standing in the shower, I need handfuls. If Im bending over the tub, I need way less. Now, Im learning to use less in the shower by squeezing the conditioner thru my hair. Less product, more distribution, AND less manipulation :yep:

I'm like most of the Ladies, I am very heavy-handed with Product. So, I tend to use enough to saturate my hair. If I were to "measure" Probably a handful?:spinning:

I use a LOT of conditioner to DC.I love for my hair to be saturated in conditioner.I read somewhere that it isn't necessary because your hair will only absorb a certain amount, but I do it anyway.I dont use a lot of leave in unless I have a lot of new growth.I don't use a lot of moisturizer.I'll use maybe a dime size amount.I've had the same bottle of ORS moisturizer forever.

i usually use a palm full right now, on longer natural hair i used twice as much.

i like to make sure all my strands are moisturized as well :)

25 cents shampoo; 50 cents conditioner; 25 cents leave in. I learned watching macherieamour that i don't need to pile on the whole bottle to get the full effects of the products. i use rich, creamy, good stuff - it does the job.

Condish..I go overboard..but I have learned that with oils..and sealing..a little goes a long way. I have fine strands...and too much will weigh my hair down.

I am heavy handed as well. Plus my hair would laugh at a dime, quarter size of product. Depending on what it is a nice dollop might do the trick.

I'm coating E'RY THANG with conditioner and leave in. So a dollop for the right side, a dollop for the left and a dollop for the back.

For me, it depends on what the product is that I'm using. If it's conditioner, I slather it on. If it's a leave-in, serum or moisturizer, I use a whole lot less.

LOL Yall don't even really wanna know how much product I use. . .

But with leave-in/moisturizing I've kinda learned that less is more. I split my hair down the middle and do about a nickel sized amount on each side. . .and after i take a dime amount and focus on the ends.

I've started moisturizing my hair in more sections(8) and it depends on what it is, i use a dime to a nick size on each section, so it probably adds up to a palm full. I only use about a nickel size of shampoo.
