DCing with Ordinary Hair Conditioner?

I'm out of my DCer but know that my hair needs some of it right now - I was wondering if my Tresemme hair conditioner would do the trick if I apply it as I would a deep conditioner. Has anyone tried this with positive results? What differentiates a deep conditioner from it's ordinary counterpart anyway? lol I must sound like a hair care newbie with this question...

Yes, it sure is. Most of the conditioners I use to DC are regular cheapie conditioners. I own about 3 hair masks, but I only use the Pantene breakage defense mask on a consistent basis.

I'm pretty DC's have ingredients that penetrate better or something like that.

I wouldn't use a cheapie like Tresemme on it's own because I know it won't do anything for my hair. Too many fillers in the ingredients. Do you have honey, eggs, or oils lying around? I usually add those to my cheapies to make a DC.

Add some EVOO to the Tresemme to jazz it up a bit.

Most ppl i know who use cheapies for DC's add oil and other things to it.
Also some times they more add heat(sit under a dryer or heating cap).
