Oh oh, one more question! Does anyone know if these would be okay to sleep in? I'm worried the rollers might flatten or my hair might get mangled somehow :spinning:....

Love your hair!:yep: At first I didnt understand these but the tutorial made it look super easy, I wana try these too.

I've actually slept in them before. I didn't post pics then because the curl was a little to tight for my liking. The longer you leave them in and the more product you have in your hair, the tighter the curl. Just make sure if you sleep in them not to have them 2 close to your scalp. Leave them about 1/2 inch away so you can position them comfortably and put your scarf on (very important, if you leave them loose it will cause tension). They're actually comfortable to sleep in. They're made out of a durable mesh material.

Just wondering how long did it take you to complete this look?
I started off with damp hair. I rolled for about 30 minutes. By time I finished rolling the back was dry already. i sat under the dryer for about 20 minutes on warm and 10 minutes on cool. I believe the less product you have in you hair the quicker it'll dry and wilder it will be. I just used a leave in and some shea butter lotion.

VERY Nice - I'm so glad you tried them, as there was a lot of doubt about how the curls would turn out - they look LOVELY!

Your hair turned out BEAUTIFUL! Thanks so much for testing these for us and sharing the results. I immediately printed out the 15% off sally coupon (thanks Froggie08) and went to Sally's and purchased them. I had been eyeballing them for awhile. What did you do to get the wild look? Also, when you pull the hair through with the hook, is that pretty gentle? It is not something that would cause damage is it? Boy, this would save tons of money getting this done in a salon. Thanks again!

:grin:I am so excited I purchased my curlformers today and since today is also my wash day I will hopefully have pics in my fotki tomorrow. Keep in mind if my hair turns out terriable no pics will be posted (LOL).:lachen:

FYI- If you don't like how it turns out you should be able to return them for a refund just keep your reciept.

:perplexedokay i was just in my local Sally's and they don't have em!!! I looked everywhere. I was literally staring at the roller section for 10 mins knowing they weren't there lol. i'm mad

KellyLinn,
I'm so glad you tried these and posted the results. Just like everyone else I've been looking at them and then passing on by whenever I go to Sally's. Although I have pj issues, I somehow was able to refrain from purchasing them just because they were such an unknown to me. Next time I go in I'm going to purchase them!

Somebody natural has to try these out and report back. This looks so much easier than flexi rods. So who is going to do it and report back?

LadyKayPnyc, I nominate you!!! And can we get a youtube video and a side of fries with that?:look:
:lachen:

Really, really cute! Thanks OP! I just saw these in Sally's a few days ago and I took the time to read the whole package, but I was unsure of how they would work. You hair looks great. I may have to give them a try.

LOl, will definately do! I'm going to Sally's tomorrow, so the vid will be up no later than 2/28...

Even if the results are bad, I'll still post the vid:yep:

Just bought my Curlformers...

I was a little annoyed when I found out the knit was sold seperately...I bought 4 @ 9.99 each (the price varies depending on the size from 12.99 to 10.99, but all are on sale at Sally's for 9.99) and the Knit was 3.99. In total, including all taxes, I paid 52.10:wallbash:

If they don't work well for natural hair, I'm gonna be pissed...:perplexed

Super Cute style! Definetely something to invest in. I've never heard of these before. Thanks for sharing OP!

so i checked online and curlformers has a website. They list all the particular sally stores in every city/state that they distribute to. here's the link...it's a 'word document'. they also list the phone numbers. (not every sally store will sell this product)

http://www.curlformers.com/distribution.htm

Thanks for this info. I checked a Sally's on my way home and they didn't have them....never heard of them. However, I see a location that should stock them.

I'm natural and just rollerset tonight WITH NEW PIBBS. Will have to wait until next week to try.

i just bought mine today!!!!!

:perplexed:perplexedgosh i didn't realize they were so expensive. my bill was was $59

And it is definately a revolution...... I apologize if somone has already posted pics. I did a search and found one thread with a lot of curiosity. So I tried them. First of all it's real easy, not going to insult anyone with a step by step method of instruction. But I will say it did not cause a lot of tension or manipulation because I didn't put them to close to my scalp. I started of with damp hair, mixed with LTR leave in and a little Shea Butter DMHL. Parted my hair in secions and began to roll. By time I finished with the last curl, the back curls were already dry. So having said that, if you are on a no heat challenge it will work. I sat under the dryer to dry the rest. So if your relaxed and you like the wild natural look with more curl and definition then a braid or twist out, or if your transitioning and trying to blend the two textures and tired of roller sets, I really think you would like these. I am 4b relaxed and 7 weeks post. If you have any additional question please don't hesitate to ask. HTH:grin:

Oh, the first pic is the front w/the rollers, the second 2 are the front and back before I wild them out (a more conservative look), and the third 2 are the curls finger comded and spaced apart.

I was the one that started teh very first thread because a co-worker showed me at a class but she was initially going to use it to do perm solutions. They are very easy to use. Go to http://www.curlformers.com for more information and where to buy.

Right now my Sally's still doesn't have it and I took that class way back in May so almost a year and they dont have it. :perplexed

I honestly don't think they're going to work so don't open any so you can return them :perplexed

Your hair has to be fairly straight and wet for it to form curls.
