Meka that's funny you should say Caramelhonee and I are now your hair inspirations because she my friend...in real life...not for play play! lol!

When my hair grew to it's longest which was brastrap, I was getting a wash, set and blow every week even when I got a touch-up and was also using Emergencee every time (which I just started go back to), I guess I was an exception to the rule of the forum as far as using heat regularly. I would say 2 or 3 times out of the year I'll get braids. I still get an occasional blow but since I've been on the board I've been trying to wear my hair in protective styles and use less heat. I'm curious to see if I'll get my hair to grow longer than brastrap (but I'll be happy when it gets back to brastrap).

Hey CP,

I know that you said that braids helped you to reach your hair goals. Would you mind posting you regimen when wearing braids. Please list products as well.

BTW, CP's hair is absolutely gorgeous in person.

Yeah, I'm on the stalker list too. Your hair was one of my intital goals and is still an inspiration. I love the fullness and luster.

I've been using Pantene Relaxed and Natural Shampoo and conditioner. I wash it once a week. Usually my cornrows (like in my album) are spaced apart so it's easy to get the shampoo in there and I just run my fingers through the parts with shampoo/conditioner and I do the same thing to make sure everything is rinsed out. I spray my braids with either S Curl spray or braid spray. I also sometimes lightly grease my scalp with Dax grease(the green one). After doing that every week by the time I take the braids out my hair is soft it doesn't feel dry and brittle like it use to when I was younger and didn't know any better.

It was so long I can't remember what the chick in the salon used but I know it was a Dominican shampoo. Now that I'm going to start using it again I ordered some Nexxus Therappe and Humectress (which by the way is on sale, both for $25 @ just4beauty.com) to go with it so I'll see how my hair likes that.
