Checked for tracks!

That is funny! What a compliment though! That means people notice the difference in your hair and the progress of all your hard work. Keep it up.

It is rude to touch without asking, but people usually mean well. I guess it depends on who it is...family, friend, close co-worker.

I can't wait for my track check...or...uh...maybe I can. :look:

A quick aside: I have a rambunctious church member who puts her hands all in ladies faces...squeezing their cheeks! Smearing makeup, etc! :nono: Goodness! People try not to get "in the flesh", but many have spoken to her "in love."

:lachen: @ people try not to get in the flesh. :lachen:

Seriously tho, I'd have a hard time with that one. I don't even touch my face unless I've just washed my hands. I'm too scared I'll transmit (or transfer) acne causing bacteria.

Congratulations on reaching your second LHCF milestone! Your hair is gorgeous. Off topic - You give wonderful henna tips and guidance! Thank you!

Your progress is awesome. I am lovin your hair.
My very own sister checked me for tracks on the sly..crazy..lol

Check for tracks, next stop Checking into the emergency room:lol:

 I agree. that was rude but i'd take as a compliment too. i'm bracing myself for the day people start doing that ish to me.

Thanks ya'll. :)

For those of you that haven't gotten this particular compliment, it'll sneak up on you sooner than you're prepared to handle it. :wink2:

If I didn't have LHCF... well... first, I doubt I would have gotten that comment. Second, I probably would have been offended. As it was, I immediately thought of ya'll and smiled. I'm sure ya'll will have some surprising reactions as well.

LOL,

It can be interesting at times, but some females take it to an extreme. I got my hair set on fire b4 in high-school, from a (cough jealous cough) female trying to prove I had a weave. I guess since she wore weave she assumed I MUST also be wearing weave to have hair as long as her weave L, so she wouldn’t take my answer of “yes this is my hair “ as truth. This is the complete extreme and complete RUDENESS not to mention dangerous. The female must have had some SERIOUS emotional issues because she actually stalked me for a while but that’s another post L. Luckily I didn’t get hurt and my hair wasn’t badly damaged. During high school it happened to me a lot and I never really cared until that incident females would just come up to me and say “ohh I like your hair” and run their fingers into it. Or ask if they could play in it during class. SMH

But the other day I had a female checking me also I could tell cuz she was studying my roots, but she was smart enough not to go putting her hands all in my hair.
It was funny when I met my mother-n-law she just asked me “is that all your real hair? “ straight up, and I told her yes its all mine and its all growing out of my head LOL, she then jus said it was pretty and that was that.

I would honestly like women to just ask me if it’s a weave instead of being rude and invading my privacy, also I think sometimes they assume it’s a weave so they don’t even comment on it looking nice they just give me the “ummhumm weave look” I don’t really find it flattering at all. I find it flattering when someone tells me they like my hair or something of that vain.

On fire? Dang, she had some serious issues. I wore my hair straight for a few days and I must have had 15 people comment. My hair is NOT long. It's only a little longer than shoulder length. Most people asked and seemed to accept my answer, but one said loudly her friend "girl, you don't know a weave when you see one."

I guess the lesson at the end of the day is... Beautiful black hair will drive people CRAZY, literally crazy.

On fire????????????   Please tell me that you or your parents pressed charges against her?!?!?!?!!

Something like that happend to me in grade school. This girl decided to stuck bubble gum in my hair. I had to go to the nurses office who tried to remove it but to no avail. I was sent home then my mom had to bring me to a salon and have my hair cut short. I ended up looking like a boy.

Oh and the girl's only punishment was that she had to write an apology letter to me and give it to me in person...
