Can't see the picture, But I'm sure her hair is amazing.

I REMEMBER THE COTTON PANTIES ON THE HEAD when I was a little girl.

We had to grow up to earn the caps made from old stockings.


LOL, that brought back some memories.

Wonder what dh would say if I came to bed with some cotton panties on my head? :lol: :lachen: He barely tolerates the scarves.

She combs through her hair (while using no products)and puts it in big braids while it dries.
After her hair is dry she then uses petroleum based grease Royal Crown or Blue Magic (the blue or the green one)
She presses and curls her hair over a gas stove.

I'm going to try a similar routine as AFS's grandmother except I will not be pressing my hair at all. Shampoo and grease is all my mom used on my hair when I was younger... why not go back to doing this?

I wish I could have seen a pic of AFS's grandmother.
 
:crying3: I wanna see too!!!!

(but I can believe it was some beautiful hair cause all my mom does is shampoo, condition, two braids while it air dries, takes her 15 minutes to lightly press and her hair grows amazingly, but she feels that since she is getting older (51; old my foot!!) she just keeps it cut at shoulder length......oh, and she uses Vaseline to press!!
