Brastrap in 2007 Challenge!!!

I am going for this challenge... I am currently hiding my hair until christmas at least... i am going for my birthday in Feb.... I want to be BSL by end of summer 2007
 
I'm going to change my BSL date to 12/07. It was 7/07, but I cut about 3 inches so I'm going to need the extra 5 months to get there. :ohwell:
 
By all means count me in! I've just stretched my relaxer for the first time 9 weeks and its almost touch up time. I hope to reach BSL by the end of this month 2007 by reducing the heat and stretching my perms.

If I can believe it, I can achieve it.
 
Count me in! I'm hoping to make BSL by the end of the month. I've been stretching my perm for 9 weeks now, so I'll be checking back in real soon with the results.

Can I join too? I'm hoping for APL in December...then on to BSL in 2007. I'll have my hair out after Christmas for about 2 weeks. Then I'll be hiding my hair til next June, then again til next Christmas. That is if I can - I am really missing seeing my hair out and about. :ohwell: . Another year to go. :perplexed

How's everyone doing? 2006 is almost over...how close are you to BSL now?

I'm fairly close...I'm gonna post update pics in a couple of days :D . My hair's gotten thicker so I'm pleased. I should be BSL by the summer, and BSL with loose curls by the end of 2007.

Only problem I'm facing: TRIMS! I constantly want to trim. Ever since I did a major trim in October, I'm obsessed with keeping my ends nice and blunt. Good thing I'm hiding my hair most of the time.

Come on, I wanna hear some updates!

I believe I am fairly close too. I asked my co-worker today at work to measure my hair and she said I only had about 2 inches to go to reach BSL. I am going to play it safe and shoot for 3 inches or more. I am so excited!!!:D

My goal is to reach BSL by September 2007.

Looking good Ronda! I think I have about two inches to go as well, so we should be there around the same time!
 
Sigh...I'm a mile away.

No seriously about four inches away. I hope to retain atleast that four inches next year and I'd like to be at the top of my bra strap by Oct.
 
I'm in :yep: I am just touching armpit length now, but I want it to grow a little more because my aim is to have it blunt cut. I want to be a blunt BSL by November of 2007 (or sooner :) ) I am about 3 inches away - a little more since I want a blunt cut. My hair grows in sort of a V :(
 
Is there a challenge from barely Shoulder Length to Armpit Length by Dec 2007? Especially for tall gals 5'7' and above. If I can do this, I'm knocking on brastrap.

There's an APL challenge, and there's no deadline or anything, it's just when you make it. :)
 
The last time I checked I had 4 inches to go. I just relaxed after a 11 week stretch and I still didn't see much growth from Sept to now :confused:

I didn't use a flat iron and my hair is not totally straight because I use a mild relaxer. I'm not giving up though. I'm shooting for bsl around April/May.
 
Breezy - 4 inches ain't nothin :lol: . Shoot, even if you have to trim you'll still make it by the Fall!

Songbyrd517 - I know how you feel with the blunt cuts! I feel like I've been around APL forever, but I did a blunt trim and now I feel like I can claim it. You're lucky you're hair grows in a V...all I get is a jacked up W :eek: .

Janeemat - I'm 5'7 too...once you get past that in between stage it's much easier.

Kbody - I just checked out your progress and you've retained a lot of length!

Thanks for the inspiring words!

I figure, w/ dusting, lately I've been retaining an inch every time I relax. So I'm at 19 inches right now. I'll be 20 in Feb. 21 in May. 22 in July, and 23 in October, which is BSL. God willing of course!

Oh, I took some progress pics back in September and I took a couple on Monday. These will be revealed when I come off the Hide your hair until Christmas challenge. This is where I got disappointed. I think I have hair anorexia :lol: Of course being 5'7 with a long neck doesn't help.
 
I need to take a progress pic--like yesterday! Haven't taken one since June or July.

I'm still going for Bra-strap by the end of next year. Plan on keeping my hair in protective styles 100% until spring! (buns & cornrolls)
 
Count me in. I'm in it to win it. This is a great challenge and I love challenges. I am about armpit length. I am currently stretching for the first time (Lets see how long that will last) and never challenged myself when it came to my hair.

yeah I feel the long neck pain. My hair looks so short when I try to see it in the mirror but in pics it doesnt look as short
 
Count me in! I'm shoulder length right now. I plan to wear protective styles such as cornrows, twist, and perhaps buns until the summer.
 
Im in! Ive finally found a regimen that works for me, and right now my hair is uneven at APL.In Feb i hope to trim to even APL and from then on Bsl! So allowing myself more than enough time hopefully i'll be BSL by DEC 2007.
