Brastrap in 2007 Challenge!!!

I am in!!! I haven't straightened my hair for awhile so I don't know its exact length, but I will measure after I wash it while it is dripping wet. My ends are damaged from a curling iron:mad:, but I am not scissor happy, so I was wondering if I should get a trim, or wait untill 2007 to get it? I do rollersets mainly, so even hair isn't an issue.

Also, how can I stimulate my edges to grow back?

Welcome ritzbitz78!

If your ends are damaged, I would suggest lightly dusting. My growth always seems to take off after a little trim. Also, just to make sure your ends are damaged, try to get your ends as smooth as possible for the rollerset, then trim.

I'm not to sure about thinning edges...what has helped me is stretching my relaxers, relaxing the edges last, not getting the edges bone straight, and definitely vitamins.

I forgot about this challenge! I gotta go check and see what date I put, but I think it was March 07. That ain't happening!
But, I have maintained and added maybe an 2 inches. My hair is way healthier and thicker. I may have to kick Biotin to the curb, because I am having awful breakouts on my chin. But other than that, I am pleased!
 
I'm still going strong. I think I didn't measure my hair right because I cut about 2 inches back in June. and I'm back at armpit length already, plus with a little new growth. Oh well I will leave the incorrect length in my siggy so I can sike myself out. I'm currently 4 weeks post so the hell is going to begin soon with battling keeping my roots soft :lol:
 
I didn't see my name on the list :( but I'm still in on the challenge. I think I set a date of Feb or Mar '07. With a little hard work to keep my ends in good condition and the support of everyone here at LHCF...I know that I'm gonna make it.

I would like to join in. I think I will be at bra strap my early Spring 2007. So I guess my long term hair goal for 2007 would be near mid-back. It is kinda hard to imagine but, I am excited. I have been doing sort of a C&G method with a sew-in and my vitamins. I am currently about 3 inches from bra strap. I usually get a really nice growth spurt between October and Nov. Possible Feb. will be my bra strap time. Who knows....

If you ends are damaged, how about getting a trip now (since you say they are damaged) and start growing fresh. No need to hang on to damaged ends. Your hair will continue to split up the shaft. Stop it in his tracks now.

For the edges........ I just got mine to look better. What did I use......WGO. I also take vitamins. My edges looked sooo much better in about 3 months time. Hang in there. :thumbsup:

Is it too late for me to join this challenge???? I'm guessing I may not make it to BSL anyway by Jan 1 2007 :( , but I'd like to be there by spring 2007.

OMG: Please let me make it by March 2007. PLEASE LORD! But, I am making progress and my hair is so much healthier. So I can't complain.

Of course you can join. I think most of us are aiming for SOMETIME in 2007. I'm giving myself till July since I'm a slow grower. Good Luck!
