They divided her hair in half braided it small in a design on that half then added hair for the other side......but you can get that crimped look by doing a braid-out on the side thats out.

Thanks for the reply BlackMasterPiece!

But I wanna know specifically how they added the hair that's not cornrowed. I want to use extensions to mimic the look. Do y'all think the best way to achieve it would be sewing in weft hair? Interlocking/crocheting bulk hair? Some other method?

Thanks!!!!

Oooo you're giving me ideas too! I luv crochet braids so I'd crochet the hair in.

Yeah....I think crochet/interlocking is the best way to replicate this style. Off to the hair store!!

Either way would work great....I can tell they sewed it in for her though.

Hmmm, interesting. How do you think they camoflouged the top track - the track next to the first visible cornrow on the left side of her head? What's a good way to hide that track?

You hide the first exposed track by sewing it in such a way that you lay the track down as if you're slipping it under the braid so that when you're done the hair just folds over and you can't see the braid or the track.

Here is a perfect demonstration of what I'm talking about....she does it on her hair line but its the same concept for the style were talking about.

*sighs* shorter haired ladies have so many cute extensions styles to do....when I braid my hair down for a weave style the braids are too enourmous to create the nice flatness:sad:

I just gotta use my own hair from here on in.
