What was the point of lying about Someone else's hair success. just posted your pictures without your consent.

Edit to say: I thought she tried to pass the pictures off as her's, She should of asked to post your pictures and ask about your regimen instead of posting the pics and making up a hair care regimen. I agree with the other ladies on here maybe it was a misunderstanding, But she still should of asked to post your pics, point black.

In defense of the OP, I really don't think she meant any drama to come out of this, just like the OP over at BHM didn't either.

Actually, I kinda long for the day for someone to admire my hair on another board.

Actually, I would feel violated if they posted my pic on another board without my permission even though it wasn't done with ill intentions.

Actually, I would probably get over feeling violated and start feeling a bit appreciated.

Actually, if I could see the person really meant no harm, I would PM her and let her know that I really was shocked that I inspired her, but next time please ask for my permission before using my photos.

Actually, I am guilty of posting someone's hair pics on this board I just get excited for 'us!'

Actually, if the violated party approached me about being in the wrong about copying their pics, I would understand and feel a bit hurt, but I would NOT act like it ain't a big deal.

I've been on both sides of the fence so I feel where OP here is coming from and OP over a BHM.

I guess I can be the first to ask permission...and confess. There's a hair pic that you had posted last year, that I loved (with you leaning to the side and all of your hair hanging over). I saved it on my computer because the hair was so beautiful, and I hoped (still do) to reach that length. I guess, as a goal pic....you know, inspiration. Anyhoo, the pic ended up getting deleted a few months later from when I had to re-install Windows.

But umm, yeah, I confess....please don't threaten me with legal action

I have seen many LHCF member post links to websites, other hair boards, myspace pages, fotkis, etc.

RedHotLala for example just became a member of LHCF this year, but I remember her fotki link being posted several times before she was a member.

I don't see anything wrong with what the BHM OP did. Common courtesy would make a person ask before posting a picture or link but that is a risk you take when you post on a public forum. I was so outraged when I thought that the BHM member stole the OPs photo but this was clearly not the case.

The BHM OP didn't steal OP's hair pics. She posted them telling the other ladies about her growth..... praising her hair. No theft of pics here or anyone pretending to be OP. The only thing misleading here was the title of this thread.

So you had your pics copyrighted? You obviously had a very high expectation of privacy, but really, how much does one expect when putting photos on the internet for the world to view???

I was waiting for some photo manipulation, or an avatar with your pic in BHM to an accout that was not yours, or the girl stating that that pic was her hair growth or something like Wild Hair Growth Oil Stealing redhotlala's pics and using it to generate more sales....... or something! Even though it was wrong, she wasnt posing off as if it were her own hair. She got the info wrong, that is wat I saw was wrong but I would have corrected her told her she needed my permission and took it as a compliment, and kept it movng... all the legal stuff.... uncalled for and probably impossible.

But in all seriousness, I've seen people on this board copy and someon's hair pic from Myspace. I mean yea ole girl was wrong for taking your pic without your permission but the response, the "nasty pm", and then to carry it out even after she apologized...just messy.

Okay yall, I think the OP gets it now. She hasn't been back to state much for a while, so let's leave it alone. Let's stop with commenting about how much unneccessary drama this has caused, the messiness involved...basically restating over and over again the same comments made on page 5.
