I'm getting a weave. I can't deal with it right now.

my natural texture.
Other ladies' hair on here seems to grow so much faster. It seems like I will never get to BSL. I swear I've been APL for the LONGEST time!

oooh Sareca, your hair looks delish!!Thrilled... except I need to get ANOTHER water softener. We moved and I've been rinsing my hair with bottle water. It's getting annoying, but it does the trick.![]()

Exactly.I'm not. And I think that's what's preventing it from growing. let me explain. In the past when I was content with my hair, it suprised me by growing and did well but when it was at it's worst and all I did was focus on the breakage and the damage my hair stood at a standstill.
Right now, i'm underprocessed (I could pass for a natural and I'm not exaggerating). My nape is completly broken off. It's growing back but verrrryyy slowly. I'm constanly looking at other females, wishing I had their hair. I need to break this habit because my damage could be much worse.
I really believe not being happy with our hair right now can prevent it from growing just like too much heat, no moisture, etc...
Just something I was thinking about.
And we can change how we feel about our hair in a hot minute. Just as one chooses not to feel good about their hair, one can just as easily choose to feel happy with their hair.
I love and appreciate my hair more each day and in turn, my hair thrives.
.Despite protein and extra moisture I still have breakage and lots of shedding.
I don't know what to do![]()

; I just have to touch a little and tons of hair comes out
Ever since I stopped taking progress pictures a few months back, i feel like i've been slipping!
At least then i know i'll be doing the right things to my hair, as i cant tolerate the shame of not coming correct for my hair fam come picture time. That alone keeps me on point.
I Dc 2 -3 times a week with a dc conut treament + coconut nilk
Moisturise 2x a day (usualy shea butter0
my hair seems to hate protein (at least mild or hardcore). so i'm thinking about just mixing 1 beaten egg to my conditionner.
Anywyas my hair is a mess; I just have to touch a little and tons of hair comes out

because I ALWAYS do what you stated in bold. This forum is the first place I've done this in a constructive way. Seeing the beautiful heads of hair on this board motivate me to improve upon what I already have instead of tearing myself down and asking "why me".
I'm happy with it. It's growing better than I had expected. And I am learning so much about my hair and texture, so for me that's been fun![]()
