Ummm...yeah...so I'm gonna have to go ahead and report this thread for all the XXX hair porn action going on in here!

Girl I love both colors on you!

Please tell me your technique on your twistout, and do you think it will come out looking that good on relaxed hair?

:giggle: @ XXX porn action.
for the twist n curl, i washed, deep conditioned, added plenty of keracare foam wrap to my hair. i had it in four sections, and i did about ten twists per section, then added the small perm rods to each end. i think it's important to keep your hair relatively damp while doing the twists
for the braid n curls, i washed, deep conditioned, then allowed my hair to partially dry while banded to reduce shrinkage. i've also done it on hair that has been blown dry to stretch it out. then i did about 25 braids in total, not braiding the whole way down, and then added a small perm rod to each end. this is the video that inspired my braid n curls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB5NLxWoTU8 she's a member here.

i think it will work on relaxed hair as well, and i would definitely recommend using a product with some hold. try it and post some pics!! :yep:

Very nice! I used Revlon colorsilk sometime earlier this year in the blue black. I had no problems with it except for a slight dryness on the ends.

you are so pretty.

I really like the new color a lot. I've been trying to get my hair a good hue of Black for a while with rinses. Tell me how this holds up on your hair in the long run, we have similar textures.

I too have been obsessed with a variation of the style, mine's the twist n curl. I am going to try it with semi dry/damp hair for a bigger look. I then use a bobby pin and pin one side down.

The before color, is that dye or a rinse?

i like them both, but i loves tha before.... it goes well with your complexion, and i would choose the copper if i had to pick one for me

awww, thank you. i will definitely keep you posted, and i agree, we seem to be hair fam.:yep:
i'm gonna have to try that pinning one side down thing-i'm kinda running out of ways to wear the braid n curl.:look:
the before color was permanent dye-i've never been able to achieve hues that bright with a rinse.
i, too, tried at first to get the jet black with a rinse, but it wasn't nearly as deep and rich enough as i wanted. so i just bit the bullet-probably not the healthiest choice, but my hair's still on my head so...:look::grin:

You are pretty and i like your hair. Personally I think the black hair really looks much better on you.

I like it, it fits you, well your old color did too. this is my fav shot. send it to Tyra, you're such a pretty girl you could be our in house top model.

I love the old and new color!!!

What products did you use for your braid and curl??

i've done it two ways:
-add keracare or proclaim foam wrap to my wet hair, band or braid it to stretch and dry and bit, and then braid it up without additional product, just a lil bit of castor oil on my scalp.
-blowdry my hair with herbal essences LTR and fantasia ic as a heat protectant, then braid it up using just a little bit of fantasia ic gel on each section for hold.

I love it. There is nothing like healthy black hair. Your hair is so pretty. And you have cute styles too.
