Honey, you and me both. Although my I knew my hair was growing, I never understood why it was staying the same length. I was never a heat abuser, but it finally made sense that it would never gain length if the hairdresser was "trimming" my hair 2-3 inches each visit.
Thank goodness I found a hairdresser that wasn't scissor happy and relaxed my hair without overlapping.
It also helps that I go 14-16 weeks between relaxers. The length is accumulating fast!!!

Sometimes you don't think you're making any progress until you look at pictures. The photos were very encouraging to me. The growth between June and September was like, "Whoa"! I am trying to figure out what I was doing right so I can continue on a high speed growing binge. I do know that on August 4th I braided my hair and then took them out on September 17th the day before my relaxer. I go to a hairdresser for my Affirm lye regular formula relaxer...as Lawd knows I can't see what I'm doin'. (I don't know how those self relaxers do it!
) I do take my vitamins and stuff on a regular basis, majority of the time. Then again, I am pregnant now. I think during that time period I just became pregnant. I wonder if hormones started kicking in from that time? I do know my skin became a HOT mess
... when you're a licensed esthetician and skincare's your thing, that's NOT good!
I will investigate further. I am trying to hold out relaxing until January 15, so when I take those photos, we'll do some comparing.

Thanks, Girl! That is my ultimate favorite color mix. I call it my "summertime" mix (Oooh! Kinda like your name!) My other favorite mix would be a warm brown with reddish auburn highlights. I think those colors work well with my skin

Thanks, Carmella25! As far as the camera goes, it took me FOREVER to finally decide on a camera that I liked that would give me good pics! I settled on a Canon A80 and I'm glad I got it. Now that I'm pregnant, I hardly feel like leaving the house. Rolls of film pile up on my table. With the camera, I can put it on the internet minutes after taking the photo.
I'm trying to stay current. Imagine, I just put up photos of August's braids and September's relaxer and it's now DECEMBER!!! Gotta keep up. Everyone's albums keep me motivated, so I would like to return the favor.

Sometimes you see long haired sisters on the street and you question them about their haircare practices and they give you "looks". Here, everyone is so willing to share info. That's why I just LOVE this place!!!!
