I haven't tried anything new this month and I don't plan to... I'm boring, I know.

I'm still loving Aussie Moist as a cowash con, I also tried HE Hydralicious (Reconditioning) last month and loved it! I've now reserved it for my moisturising spritz so it lasts longer, it's not sold in the UK (same as Aussie Moist!) so I have to make sure I have enough till I get my next batch of products from the U.S.

HIT: Pin curls during my transition. Haven't used heat in two weeks.

MISS: Hairveda Whipped Gelly. I get the same results with some moisturizer mixed with AV gel and a raggedy satin scarf! The scent is also irritating to me. Doesn't stink but I don't care for it.

Hit: Komazo- olive mask, curl lotion, hair milk & protein treatment

Hit: KBB- Hair Nectur

Hit: Njoicreation-coconut cream hairdress, herbal styling pudding & herbal hairdress

Hit: Claudie's-End Insurence Treatment #2

Hit: Njoicration-coconut cream hairdress, herbal styling pudding & herbal hairdress

Hit: Claudie's-End Insurence Treatment #2

I just recently started using the Ends Insurance and I love it so far. :yep:

HIT: ALTER EGO LINANGE SHEA BUTTER LYE RELAXER

Loved how my hair felt after using it today. The experience would have been better if the relaxer was pulled through all the new growth. Now I need a corrective on the parts the relaxer didn't touch.

MISS:

J/A/S/O/N All Natural Hi-Shine Styling Gel - this left white flakes in my hair. It smelled good though...

Big Hit: (I've actually been doing this for a while now):
Applying leave in, moisturizer, and sealing on dripping/soaking wet hair

Hit:
Smooth N Shine Leave In Conditioning Creme Extra Strength

My hair is extra moisturized with this...

Mega Hits - Queen Helene Cholesterol, Aphogee Pro-Vitamin Leave-In

Misses - None

Hits:
KBB Hair Milks & Nectars- The consistency feels just about the same but the results for both are great.
Hairveda SitiriNillah (sp?) DC- corrected my dry hair chlorine issue
Sealing with Castor Oil- talk about some soft hair...and it wasn't too heavy for the summer
Trying out new hair styles- my second career is going to be a hairstylist
Going Green- Its just helping with my healthier lifestyle.

Misses: No real misses.
Being lazy with my hair this week and not DCing. Luckily it hasn't revolted yet.

Hit: Purchased KBB Hair Milk for use as co-wash. Luv it, luv it, luv it!! It makes my hair so soft. And it smells yummy too! :yep:

Hit: Homemade shampoo. Very pleased with how soft/moisturized my hair feels after shampooing.
I did this accidentally. I thought I had grabbed my KBB Deep Conditioner but was using my Hair Milk instead. Great slip and the smell was :lick:.

Big Hit: (I've actually been doing this for a while now):
Applying leave in, moisturizer, and sealing on dripping/soaking wet hair

I have to do this or else my hair gets super frizzie if I touch it and its starting to dry. I just get mad when product starts dripping down as well.

Another HIT:

Beer rinses
My home made beer shampoo - these both leave my hair soft, full-looking, and shiny:lick:.
Molasses and conditioner pre-poos - makes my hair feel stronger.
Rosemary, sage, basil and thyme rinses - healthy, shiny hair results

MISS:

Conditioning my hair with whole eggs - this process left my hair wayyy too hard:nono:. I will try the yolk only mixed with honey next time and see what happens.

Did you mix the egg w/ a conditioner and oil and apply on dry hair?

Well actually no I didn't. I like the sound of this though. I just might try it. It's just that I finally got my hair to stop breaking using aloe vera and Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor as a prepoo. I love the results and it would be a crying shame to go and undo it by trying something else. It really does sound tempting though.

HIT:
Silk Elements MegaSilk Intense Conditioning Mayonnaise: good protein conditioner and smells wonderful! I used it mixed w/ ORS Replenishing Conditioner and coconut oil after my relaxer.
Chi Silk Infusion: I've had this for awhile, but I just started using it. My makes my hair shiny and it feels unbeliveably soft....I can't keep my hands out of my hair
Washing my hair in 4 sections: Why didn't I do this sooner? Made getting through my new growth so easy!

Hit: lathering the 3 months post relaxer stretch with lustrasilk growth therapy with olive oil and sealing with carrot oil

Miss: im STILL looking for a product that will make my flat iron super duper shiny

Hits: Giovanni Direct Leave-in, Frederic Fekkai Luscious Curl Cream & Wash and go on Type 4 hair. I did my first wash and go not expecting much. However, after styling my hair this morning (cowashed w/Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner) and applying these products, I loved the way my hair looked. My hair is almost dry and although there is skrinkage, you can so kinks, curls, coils and lots of texture. I love it! My hair feels really, really soft. I thought my hair type wouldn't fair well with wash and go's but once again, everyone's hair is truly different and unique.

Hit- Silk elements mega cholesterol- I finally found and inexpensive conditioner that my hair likes.
still loving KBB hair milk sealed with CO.

Hits:
- Alter Ego Garlic Condish (makes my hair feel great)
- Salerm 21 Leave In (makes my hair feel great)
- Elasta QP H2 Leave-in as a daily moisturizer (hair feels moist)
- JBCO (nice sealant, thickness goes away in a few minutes)
- Perfect for Perms Finishing Creme (I know it has mineral oil and has a smell that lingers, but it can always whip my hair into shape...if I use it at night, by morning, the smell is mostly gone)

Miss:
- Hawaiian Silky 14 and 1 (just makes my hair wet)
- Hairveda's Whipped Cream (too thick and consistency doesn't mesh well with my hair)
- Hairveda's Almond Glaze (super thick, and doesn't spread well)
- Coconut oil (too light -- doesn't feel like it's sealing anything in)

On the Fence:
- Hairveda's Sitrinillah
- AO Honeysuckle Rose
- NTM Silk Touch Leave-in
- Giovanni Direct Leave-in

I'd like to try some oil based moisturizers, but I'm waiting until I use up all of the water based stuff.

Hits: Grapeseed Oil with Vitamin E, MSM, Salerm Reconstructing Treatment for Ends.

Miss: Queen Helene Cholesterol

Hit- Mixing s-curl with a spoonful of hairveda's green tea butter. I made a light moisturizer that works really good on my hair.

OK, so Hairveda's Whipped cream has a nice texture when applied to my new growth only (I'm 18 weeks post). So, I'll give it a hit.

I still probably won't repurchase, unless I don't find something that will moisturize both my new growth and relaxed hair at the same time.

Nature's Gate hemp nourishing conditioner (huge thumb's up)

Hair One jojoba cleansing conditioner (left mine in Chicago and did not purchase in Atlanta; back in Chicago and it is still absolutely wonderful, especially as a leave-in)

Avon Naturals moisturizing conditioner with almond and avocado oils (my friend gave it to me who sells Avon. I expected nothing from it, but it surprisingly wonderful and leaves my hair very soft and moisturized.)
