I wanted to have BSL hair by the end of December 2009 but I do not think that's going to happen. I've been APL for quite some time. But overall, I'm content with my hair.

By the way: Bubblingbrownshuga, I love your afro puff! It's nice to see you with natural hair again!

I am happy with my hair now that it is finally at my shoulder and not somewhere beneath my arm pit or bra strap.

Sometimes shorter is better....at least every 5 or so years.

I'm content. I know I'm making progress but Im sooo impatient! I'll be happy when I make APL or at least gain a few more inches than what I have now. I had a setback from going to the salon. :nono: So Im waiting to gain back what I lost.

Yes. It's filling up quite nicely seeing as I've always had thinner hair. I can't keep my hands out of it which is why I suck at protective styling I miss it too much. I'm very happy with it.

Yes, this is longest my hair has been since being natural. I just need to learn how to keep my hands OUT OF MY HAIR. I have HIH syndrome.

yes i am happy with my hair and its progress. i have never been so in love with my hair before now.

i wish i didnt wear that tight afro puff yesterday because i think some of my hair suffered but thats ok. i also wish i haddnt colored my hair way back when i first did the bc but im ok with that.

Yes and no. My hair is growing out nicely, but I am in the awkward stage of between shoulder length and apl and it looks crazy when I wear my hair down.

I'm grateful for any and all progress my hair has made thus far, but I still have a goal to meet before I'm truly happy.

yes. my hair could be falling out in clumps or something. its growing so im not going to complain.

I saw a woman on the train and her sides were practically bald. I felt bad for complaining about my hair all the time.

I'm content because the parts that broke off to less than an inch are growing back but I know I will be much happier in a year!

Right now, transitioning is kicking my butt, but I am determined to press on. My nape is so long in comparison to my air. It is shoulder length and the rest is now below lip level. I am now retaining more length and that makes me happy.

YES! YES! YES! I am very happy! A bit obsessed actually :drunk:. It's growing quite well (average rate) and I've found ways to improve my retention. It's thick and healthy and... just amazing to me. I have that hand-in-hair disease really bad though. LOL! I'm working on that. I haven't even reached my first goal yet (SL, then onto APL) and I'm all ecstatic and anxious at the same time.

If I would have known that wearing my hair natural was so much better for me I would have done it a long time ago!

I love my hair! :yep:

I am TRULY pleased!!! I BC'ed in June 2009, it was then I decided to get serious about my hair, so it's a little over three months for me on this healthy journey. I had my braids out for a time and guess what, I have a nape that is the SAME LENGTH as my hair. Previously I STRUGGLED with this area and it simply REFUSED to retain length, so I started to "tape it up" with clippers. NOW? Not so much..I LOVE my nape; it has grown in healthy and I couldn't ask for more. My edges are MUCH better than before. Not where I want them to be, but I see positive progress. Overall? I am simply in love with my hair...all 4 inches of it. This is the HEALTHIEST I can recall it being. A little overdramatic, ehh...maybe, but its valid.

Very much so:yep:

My hair is my playground, it grows at a nice rate, I've found staple products and styles that allow my hair to thrive and I truly view my hair as limitless.

I can't wait to reach BSB and ultimately MBL and maybe just maybe Waist Length!! I'm really having and great time and honored to be a walking talking example of the potential of our natural lovely hair.

I'm very happy with my progress and I'm really looking forward to all the length I'll retain this year and further down the line.

Im excited to see my hair is actually growing.....ends still need work, but at a meager shoulder length this is the longest my hair has been.....looking forward to seeing where my hair is at my one year mark......

Im already fantasizing about what my thread title will be

yep. i'm transitioning and its not as hard as i thought it would be, and i'm hoping i can make it to APL by dec, or if not, then march.
