Yes to the extreme! I can't wait to buy stuff for my hair. I drop down money every pay check to buy something for my hair. Hooked and PROUD.

i am a grade-a-certified-happy-and-proud-product junky:lol: but a discriminating one too. i know what i like & what works for my hair. i lean towards natural, humectant ingredients, natural preservatives, but a good cheapie with decent botanicals doesn't hurt either  -- plus i don't feel as guilty no-pooing them down the drain.

but don't feel obligated to jump on every band wagon. some experimentation in the begining is normal. but when you find products that work for you, stick with them. your hair will thank you for it. cause once you have staples, you can dabble with something new every now and then -- and if it doesn't work you still have your old reliables -- and if it does you'll have a new reliable.

Absolutely! And I am not gonna tell how much I spent this month just in case my DH gets in here:lol:      I am almost divorced:eek: :lachen:

I am a former hair product junkie, when I first set out to grow my hair, I went over board by trying every product or combination of products, that everyone was suggesting on the forum, then I noticed that I started to get scalp acne, from product over load, and I put MTG on my hair and my regular leave in conditioner on my ends at the same time, and it caused a negative chemical reaction, causeing burns on the back of my neck. Since then I decided to just keep my regime simple and use common sense, because after all the hair grows from inside out not from the out side...I've gotten the same results just keeping things simple.

See, I never had this PJ problem before I joined LHCF. I'm almost embarrased to say how much money I've spent on products/styling tools in the mere 1.5 months I've been a member here. I seriously need a spankin':spank:-- But I'm making a commitment to slow down...I mean stop.:look:

I've become a PJ! I admit it...I try to stay away from BSS as much as possible so I don't try every new hair care product out there! :lachen: I'm now experimenting with my hair regimine as well since I haven't found my true staples as of yet.

Yep! I have products that I bought like 3 years ago and still haven't used. I thought when I went natural it would change, but nope. I think it actually got a little worse :ohwell:

Sadly but surely, I'm becoming one. I love to try out new things, as long as I'm not paying an arm and a leg for them. One particular product I've got my eye on is Aveda's Anti-Humectant Creme. I've heard it does wonders for the hair for flat-ironing and it protects against mist and humidity. I really want to try it, but I'm not paying $30 for it.

Is there anyone here who uses only their tried and true products regardless what everyone is raving about? someone who doesnt run out and buy that great new shampoo cause they already have one that works fine?

Or are you willing to try anything that anyone suggests?? always on the lookout for the next miracle product?

i can't wait until I find my holy grail products. I'm hoping Aveda is the one. I have to use up so many products that I've bought though...:perplexed

I voted no but I am a PJ in recovery prone to relapses :blush:when products stop working, or when I learned of Dominican products. Just too many to try. When I find something that works I stockpile it. I am currently a proud conditioner junkie. LCHF is helping me to be wiser, and I soon will be on a use it up challenge since I am finding staples.

Hello, my name is pet, and I am a product junkie. I'm getting worse and worse by the second! I use something different every time that I wash! It really is getting ridiculous. So....I'm going to seriously try harder to stop buying so many products, and work with the ones that I have.

I must admit....YES. I got it Baaadddd!! But i have vowed to go into my second year with what I have and not to purchase anything else because I probably already have it or can make it with all the stuff I've got.

I need to be in PJ rehab. I just joined and already I have shipments coming in to try different things. So far so good for a newbie. I love almost all the suggestions. Here's a few of my favorite new editions: castor oil, motions oil spray, soft hair bonnett, flexirods, Motions CPR, Aphogee protein and I just got my first shipment of MTG. We'll see how that works.

YES!!;) I was a PJ before LHCF so you can just imagine how bad it is now!! It is ridicoulus I love the BSS. And if something is on sale that has been mentioned on the board I can't help but get 2 or 3. :) I have to put a line in my budget for hair products. So sad I know but I can't help it. I can't even make any claims about rehab becasue I know it won't work!!

I was a product junkie before I joined the board but I didn't know there was a name for my "problem". I have created a pj warehouse consisting of styling tools, shampoos-organic, shampoos-regular, deep condish, leave ins, protein paks, an assortment of oils, sheens, heat protectants, relaxers, topicals, combs, brushes, caps, the list goes on and on.

But for one, I have two daughters so I'm trying to fine tune :brainy: 3 different reggies. I HAVE to try all of these things in order to see what works the best for us. My pjism has gotten better in the sense that instead of blindly grabbing products off the shelf, I first come here and do "market research" to give me more direction in choosing products to try. I actually don't have a problem:pinocchio. I can stop anytime I want to. (leaves before lightening strikes)

I am for sure....and I hate it. I will pick spending money on hair products over going into a clothing store. U know I have problem when it gets that deep. Im slowing weaning myself from doing that but I cant resist

*raises hand*

Hi, my name is WomanlyCharm, and I am a product junkie.

They say the first step to redemption is admitting you have a problem, lol!

I was doing fine before I stumbled across this board, but now I know my hair stylists won't experiment with any new products that I want to try, so I stopped. I may have to try them myself.

Nevertheless, I'm not as bad as some product junkies. I do believe in using everything up.

Hi, this is my first post!
I did not realize I was a product junkie until I started lurking around this site back in May. Now I have begun a lengthy and difficult recovery process of using up everything I have and replacing it with only the products I really, truly need. I cant stop laughing, because I have just realized that when normal people think of buying toys, iPODs, new clothes or anything like that... the first thing I do when I get paid is head to Sally's or start saving up for a new straightener!:lol:

Its pretty funny, lol I have an arsenal of products! I have a LARGE plastic bin of products, under my sink is full of products, my medicine cabinet is full of oils and other products, and my counter is pretty cluttered. I have 3 combs, 4 brushes, a pick, a color applicating brush, a drawer of clips scrunchies pins rollers and rubber bands, and a bath tub lined with several shampoos and conditioners. No wonder the last time I let someone touch my hair in a salon was prom 2 years ago! I have more stuff than they do! :lachen:

Unfortunately for my wallet, I'm not just a product junkie but I'm a high end product junkie. A few days ago I spen $110 on just 3 kerastase products. Yesterday I bought a mizani shampoo and conditioner, the thermasmooth serum, and keracare hairdressing creme. I'm going back to get the thermasmooth spray and after that I shouldn't need anything else.

Doesn't mean I won't get anything else though! LOL!

I am guilty of that too:perplexed. Someone please put a stop to this madness... I actually enjoy going to the bss...I gotta stop...but after I order my things from Qhemet, my regimen will be complete...lol.

Hi my name is SoforReal and i'm a recovering PJ. :beer:Lol...i'm much better now because I only buy products when I get my PJ allowance :woot:

It's beginning to start for me. Everytime I read about new wonderful products I go find it online and stare at the product for a good 10 minutes to contemplate  So far, I've only purchased the fantasia ic in the pink bottle, which I love but there are a few others that are starting to work on my cash hand :ohwell:
