Anyone start with SL hair and now at or near BSL?

I guess if I can make it to Jan 1 with APL hair, I'll add the roller sets to my routine. How often do you relax? Just curious.

Thanks again girl!

Usually every 10-11 weeks, but I'm past that right now and will probably relax again in 2-3 weeks.

I gotta go find jojoba oil! Everyone has been singing it's praises  .

Ladies, it's been 3 days now that I've been protective styling! Let's hope I can keep it up :)

Now only 362 more days to go! J/K! Nah, You don't have to protective style every single day, but protective styling more often than not will probably get you there faster and healthier than not protective styling at all. Give yourself weekends off or something!

Girl, you'll be just fine! Patience is 90% of the deal, the other 10% is execution.

 My DBF and I had this same conversation about me wearing my hair down on weekends. Of course I'm talking after December;) .

I have to work on the patience :) I see you ladies success and wish there was a pill I could take to get there overnight. I know it's not possible, but a girl can dream. I think I just have to stop thinking about my hair as much as I do and it will grow :)

I started at grazing shoulder length messed up ate up hair and now I am like an inch from bra strap length. I am no a 3 month stretch right now--so right after my next relaxer I should be full bra strap length even with a blunt trim.

The best thing for me was protective styling, finding a great leave-in conditioner and being heavy handed with conditioner---plus I did a no heat regimen / just rollersets under warm hooded dryer / for 3 continuous months. That 90 days of just deep conditioning and rollersetting got my hair into great condition and my hair has thrived ever since.

Thanks so much for the inspiration! I'm officially using protective styling for the next 3 months. I only plan on breaking it once for a wedding I have to attend on Oct. 7th. But hopefully like you the next 90 days will help!

After this 90 day time, I plan to continue using buns and roller sets. We'll see. I'm no blunt cut right now and AFRAID of a deep trim. I think when I'm close to my 1st goal of BSL, I'll trim blunt then. My ultimate goal is mid-back or WL.
