2019 Use Up The Stash Challenge

I finished up a liter size of a Eva NYC shampoo. It was good but it took forever. Thinking of only buying travel sizes of shampoo from here on out.

Sally just keeps on getting me. There was a BOGO 50% off sale and I’m reevaluating my regimen so I “needed” (another ) light protein conditioner. I bought two Mielle Babassu and Mints.

June has been rough for me A lot of changes to my stash. First my Camille Rose Naturals order got sent twice, customer service never responded to my email about shipping the second order back so that meant I had two of everything I ordered. I didn't care for the gel so one of them I gave away.

Also did a deep cleaning of my room and got rid of 2 products that I had for 3 years (Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner).

Then I got braids so I purchased Uncle Funky's Daughter Defunk Tonic and Uncle Funky's Daughter Midnite Train Spray ( actually love this stuff) to help keep the braids nice, neat and clean. They braids kept slipping out of my head so they only lasted 10 days. Then I had to purchase the Styling spray and edge control for the wig I plan on wearing until my hair appt at th end of July.

Didn't make my goal to get my stash less than 40 but I'm only one over so I'm okay with this. Plus I historically go through product slower in the colder months. I think if I could get to less than 35 products by the end of session 2, I'll be set to cut the number of products in my stash to half by the end of the year.

I was looking through some older posts in previous shrink my stash challenges and the lowest I ever got was 23 products. I was missing some items and had to shop more often but I wasn't nearly as overwhelmed with my collection as I am now. Which is insane because the height of my PJism, I had 125 conditioners alone. So to be in the 40s for total number of products with goals to get to 20s (or possibly teens) I think is showing some growth.

I always get sucked in by sales. That's why my number went up so much. I also have a product that is sticking around longer than expected. It should be gone this month and then I can move on to other things. Not going to put a goal number to get to for this quarter. I'm going to be traveling so having a regular schedule for doing my hair will probably be out the window.
