As for me, it's been quite a while since I posted. I am finally down to the last of my 5 lb bag of sodium bentonite clay, so I'll be reordering soon. Monday night I mixed it with coconut water and let it sit for about 30 mins. I finished with KKKT, no styler. My hair is a soft, curly fro.
Yeah. I remember those days.I guess I'm doing the original method. because I'm following the one on maximumhydrationmethod.com
Yeah. I remember those days.
Good luck!
Yeah, it gets to be a bit much. And my hair is very dense in areas, so I have to work in sections. But this week I had 3 steps: pre-poo, clay cleanse, kkkt. Quickest regimen ever. I'll deep condition with protein on occasion but for me less is more and much better.I'm loving my results so far. It's just so time consuming. especially now that my hair is getting longer

Agreed. The last time I used BS my hair felt HORRIBLE!!! Never again.@NaturallyBri87 I also did the original method, and for quite some time. My regimen has also reduced to three steps (on a non DC day); water rinse, clay, gel. Super simple for me and my hair. The only thing I'd say is be careful with your amounts and frequency of ACV-use (and baking soda if you use it). I got excited and was doing full cycles 3-4 times a week, and I think it did bit a damage to my strands.

LOL..I got excited, too. I didn't see any damage, but my growth was definitely stunted.
Something about the whole regimen stunted my growth. There was so much, I can't pinpoint what exactly, but when I stopped MHM, I had an unbelievable growth spurt.Thats interesting...all that BS and ACV didn't stunt my growth but my crown area was definitely thinner at the roots. My hair also felt really rough and tangly with baking soda at the time I decided to stop.
I'm calm now lol and do things in moderation (although I don't do the original method anymore). I used 1 teaspoon of BS in diluted conditioner, two or three months ago to open my hair up to receive moisture (after several hennas) and it worked like a charm.

Baking soda is just too harsh. I won't use it on my hair at all, and I haven't used ACV in a while. I now mix my clay with AVJ or coconut water as opposed to ACV.
My crown came to life when I installed a water filter in my shower. I don't have issues w/it anymore.
You're welcome!!
I'm sure someone's mentioned the benefits of horsetail in this thread somewhere, but since I just looked it up, I decided to post what I found below.
