2011 Cowash Challenge--January 1st to April 30th

Cowashed this morning with V05 Free Me Freesia. I bought way too much V05 when it was on sale for 67 cents. I need to restock my AO WC. I am going to wait until tomorrow to do my shampoo wash and deep conditioning. I think I'll straighten my hair one last time for 2010 and take my end/beginning of the year hair pictures.

PLEASE ADD ME TO THIS CHALLENGE! I did the last one too! :)

:welcome: to the challenge!

No cowashing today. My plan is to shampoo, DC with heat, blowdry and flat iron. I need to measure my hair and take pics for the various challenges 2011 challenges I signed up for. I've been using Bee Mine sulfur serum for almost a month and I really want to see if it had any effect.

Any special New Years Eve hair plans?

I co-washed yesterday....well, I ended up shampooing because the oil and gel in my hair wouldn't rinse out! I tried using my pantene condish and it still didn't rinse out :nono: Now I know NOT to use the BB growth oil while having ic fantasia in my hair. Hopefully next week's cowash will be better :ohwell:

I want to join! I am cowashing a lot now anyway. I hope it's not too late.

How many times per week will you cowash? Daily

What conditioners are you planning to use? I currently have HE LTR & HH, I also have Suave Almond & Shea Butter (Have not tried it yet) and GVP Humectress. I may incorporate others, I want to find one I really like and stick with it.

What do you hope to achieve by cowashing? More moisture, retention and growth.

How often (if ever) will you use shampoo? Never shampoo unless I am neutralizing.

:curtain:

I want to join.:look: I plan to cowash atleast 3 times a week, then move up to 5 times or everyday when it starts to warm up. I'm in braids now so I won't be able to post a starting pic. The conditioners I use are TreSemme Naturals, Suave Humectant, and Suave Damage Care (light protein). I will DC after every cowash.

I'm hoping to minimize/eliminate breakage and retain length. Good luck and Happy hair growing everyone!

How many times per week will you cowash? For right now once weekly but when the aerobic program begins later this month maybe 2-4 weekly

What conditioners are you planning to use? Aussie Moist, Yes to Carrots mud conditioner, homemade conditioner, Natures Gate hemp conditioner

What do you hope to achieve by cowashing? I hope that my hair will retain more moisture

How often (if ever) will you use shampoo? Once a wk.

Welcome to the challenge OsnapCnapp!

No cowashing today since I straightened my hair last night. I think I keep it this way until Monday and then back to my almost daily cowashing.

Since it's wintertime, do you cowash at night or in the morning? I'm still doing it in the morning despite the cold.

I want in on this too, janda! Me and these challenges, lol.

How many times per week will you cowash? once a week

What conditioners are you planning to use? Aussie Moist, Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner, any cheapie condish like (suave, aussie, herbal essences, etc)

What do you hope to achieve by cowashing? More moisture and a clean scalp.

How often (if ever) will you use shampoo? Actually, I'm going to try my best to avoid shampoo for the length of this challenge. Wish me luck!

----------------------------------------------------------------

I cowashed my week old twists with Aussie Moist today. Before washing, my twists were flat, hard and dull. After cowashing they are super light, bouncy and fluffy. I've never washed my hair while in twists before but after today, I may be hooked. After cowashing, I DC my hair even though I don't think I really needed it after the cowash but better safe than sorry.

I'm gonna be more than likely cowashing at night or the afternoon...anything but morning.

:welcome: Evallusion! Looks like you have all the areas of your life covered in your challenge list. So, you should have a wonderful 2011! I'm guilty of the same thing but I really want to try to get myself together this year--spiritually, physically and financially.

I used Aphogee 2-Minute and then cowashed with the Suave Aloe conditioner. I'm sitting on the dryer right now using it as a deep treatment.

I'm in :D

How many times per week will you cowash? 3 times per week
What conditioners are you planning to use? Too many to name
What do you hope to achieve by cowashing? To get rid of a lot of my conditioners
How often (if ever) will you use shampoo? Once a week or so

Just co-washed with Hair One (jojoba). I really like the way this makes my hair feel -- really soft and moisturized

I cowashed with Suave Almond and Shea Butter for the first time and I really like it. I also DC'd with ORS Replenishing and wheat germ oil. I think I want to try the Wen. I may just order some. Not that I need ANY more hair products. :look:

I love Wen. I buy mine from QVC. I usually wait for some type of special deal.

Checking in: I cowashed yesterday with suave naturals and did a wash and go with kinky curly. And i will cowash and bun tomorrow. Will post pics later

Attached is my starting picture.

I cowashed last night with a mix of HE's Totally Twisted and Hello Hydration. Things were going good, until a sneezing fit overcame me *sigh* Anybody have any tips on cowashing in a way that won't potentially give you a cold?
