hey Samaria, i'm on the waistlength by 2007 challenge too :)
about your ends, why not just remove the stringy ones so that you have a clean start with clean progress. You will have to remove them later anyway. I would trim the hair, even it out a little bit, or something like that, so that I can be sure that i'm not caring for damaged hair and taking care of the right hair, the one that I plan to keep, instead of the thinner ends. You don't want the ends continuing to thin out, even with the care that you give it.

I hope i'm not upsetting you with the suggestion. I remember admiring one particular lady's hair but i realized that her ends were thin and needed to be trimmed but she said she wouldn't trim them for another few months and as a result, she had to take off WAY more than she would have if she had just trimmed the thin ends right away. I don't want the same happening to you, b/c it can be very devastating. So, please, consider a good start, to not hinder your progress :)

That would set me back a whollle lot more though wouldn't it?

I doubt it... if anything, when you get to your goal, you'll be at the right spot, without ends that aren't too stringy or that dont' need to be cut badly, as long as you keep moisturizing of course.

Let me PM you

I'm agreeing as well. I'm on the waistlength challenge and well on my way to bra length. I will be trimming my ends in exactly 1 month so that I can start off fresh, rather than not trim and then when I reach my goals realize that I have to trim off like 5 inches...this is a pic of where I'm starting but this pic was taken in April, I've since gained inches but I have a whole lot of NG and a whole lot of shrinkage too:ohwell: .

I hope that my quest to waistlenght goes without any drama! I've written out a concise plan as to how I will be getting there, I will be strictly following the C&G method as of January 06, See ya at Waistlength!:)

I may tear up a lil bit  so that means I would have to grow this back and then some right???

Not at all! You can trim a little at time...whatever your comfty with. Maybe a quarter of an inch every 3 to 4 months, girl I'm not about making some scissor happy stylist happy!
